Melania Trump has a new book coming out, so she’s doing what most authors do: publicizing it and appearing in social media videos. On Sunday, the Former First Lady posted to X—but she just didn’t hawk her book, she also blasted the direction of this country. Although she didn’t call out President Joe Biden or VP Kamala Harris by name, she made clear what she thought of the current leadership. While it’s a short video, clocking in at just thirty-seven seconds, it’s quite succinct and powerful in its description of everything that has gone wrong: WATCH:
By my count, that’s just 54 words, but those 54 words nail it. Related: Trump Recounts the Moments Barron, Melania Found Out He Had Been Shot—'Can You Imagine?' She posted another video on September 5 which was less political and did not discuss the woes of the country under Biden-Harris, but she did tease a little about her thoughts with one line: “As a private person who has often been the subject of public scrutiny and misrepresentation, I feel a responsibility to clarify the facts.” I don’t know about you, but that makes me very curious indeed: Melania Trump has long seemed like a mystery woman to many because she is, as she describes herself, a “private person” and isn't worried about where the camera is. The left, though, has long tried to portray her as some sort of hostage to the former president who secretly hates him and would do anything to divorce him. Her words in these two videos would seem to dispel those idiotic gossipy notions. It will be interesting to see if she continues to speak out and if her voice has an impact on the closely fought election. I for one am very interested to read her behind-the-scenes portrayal of events at Mar-a-Lago and the White House—and would welcome her continuing to weigh in on important matters affecting our country. |
