DELICIOUS: 'The View's Not-So-Sunny Hostin Is Forced to Read Yet Another 'Legal Note' Live on Air

It's like Christmas every day for conservatives ever since Donald Trump won a second trip to the White House just over two, short weeks ago. If it's not Democrats forming a circular firing squad over what went wrong on November 5th, it's the corporate media in total free fall over the complete and utter rejection by American voters of the false narratives pushed for years by leftist "reporters" and "journalists."

Frankly, it's been delicious to watch.

The insanity, as ever, has been particularly concentrated in minds of the gals over at "The View." They are incensed that their girl Kamala lost to Trump, and they don't even have the tiniest of clues that they and their partisan gabfests played a part in her defeat.

Not ones to give in to moments of self-reflection, the activists at "The View" mistook Trump's win as a mandate for them to continue harping on about those mean, old Republicans. Except, things have changed. Republicans, conservatives, and just plain old Americans have had enough and are pushing back in ways that are making Joy Behar's head spin so fast that her wig flies off.

RedState's Bonchie reported Wednesday about "The View" getting slapped down for remarks they made about then-Attorney General nominee Matt Gaetz, with (not so) Sunny Hostin having to read a "legal note" correcting their comments. Basically, the ladies seemed to be treating rumor as fact, and the legal department at ABC could see the trouble coming its way. If you want to see the sourest look in the history of sour looks, click through to Bonchie's story and behold Sunny Hostin's face.

Or, you could stay here and see her have to DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN, this time for disparaging both Matt Gaetz and Pete Hegseth:

Here's every glorious word:

Matt Gaetz has long denied all allegations and has not been charged with any crime. Gaetz previously dismissed allegations that he paid for sex, saying, "Someone is trying recategorize my generosity to ex-girlfriends as something untoward.

Another legal note, Pete Hegseth lawyers said he paid the woman in 2023 to head off the treat of a baseless lawsuit. He has denied any wrongdoing

The producers played music over the statement, and the sheep in the studio audience laughed on cue, but that didn't diminish from the gloriousness of watching these broads have to eat crow. They never learn, do they? Also, who actually tunes into this dreck has always been the great, unanswered question.

You might get sick of us saying it here at RedState, but this is the way. Republicans need to (metaphorically) put their boots right on the necks of these spewers of hate and lies ... repeatedly and often. Make them choke on their own words, make them read legal statements, make them go on record over and over with their silly narratives.

It's not clear if lawyers for Matt Gaetz and Pete Hegseth threatened legal action or if ABC News execs are just trying to stave off legal trouble, but it doesn't really matter. Play the game, engage in the fight, and keep on winning.

Democrats' Messaging Meltdown

In the wake of Democrats’ resounding defeat on November 5th, the finger-pointing has begun. In a Substack post, former Obama senior advisor Dan Pfeiffer delivered a tone-deaf assessment of the loss, blaming the party’s message and messengers:

“[O]ur approach to communicating with voters continues to depend heavily on the legacy media. Do Democrats need to follow Trump’s lead and break up with the legacy media?”

While Pfeiffer’s critique of Democratic messaging is not entirely misplaced, his commentary reeks of denial about the real reasons behind the party’s defeat and the ongoing erosion of voter trust in the Democrat Party. His remarks were especially jarring as they came just a day after the guilty verdict in the tragic murder of Laken Riley by an illegal immigrant.

This heartbreaking case epitomized the devastating consequences of the administration’s border policies—policies that became central to voters’ repudiation of the party’s leadership.

Despite Pfeifer’s insistence that voters didn’t hear the Democrats’ message, the truth is that Americans heard it loud and clear. The administration’s handling of inflation, economic stagnation, and border security painted a stark picture of ineptitude and misplaced priorities. Voters understood this message as one of failure.

The tragic death of Ms. Riley was a painful reminder of the administration’s border failures. The public knows that the current border policies have allowed a dangerous influx of illegal immigration, contributing to crime, exploitation, and instability.

Just this week, a House Judiciary Committee report revealed that sex traffickers are exploiting the Biden administration's “parole” program, exposing significant fraud and negligence in one of the Department of Homeland Security’s critical operations. Shockingly, welfare recipients, individuals involved in criminal activity, and even other illegal immigrants have been approved as sponsors for parolees.

The administration’s inability—or unwillingness—to vet these sponsors directly threatens public safety. Rather than acknowledge these failures, Democrats like Pfeifer are deflecting and blaming state party leaders and the media.

State party leaders nationwide, including Texas Democratic Chair Gilberto Hinojosa, are being purged to shift accountability. Hinojosa’s resignation after 12 years in power is symbolic of a broader reckoning, but fixing the party's credibility problem will take more than reshuffling leadership.

What Is the Acceptable Number of Unacceptable Things? Zero.

Think Democrats Will Change Their Ways Anytime Soon? Here Are Two Examples of Why the Answer Is No

Adding insult to injury, Democratic-led cities continue to double down on unpopular sanctuary city policies. Los Angeles is moving forward with legislation to bar city workers from assisting federal immigration enforcement, effectively reinforcing its sanctuary status. For many voters, these policies symbolize the party’s refusal to confront the real-world consequences of its ideology, even as communities grapple with rising crime and instability.

Texas, one of the battlegrounds for immigration policy, has sent a resounding message. Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham has even offered a 1,400-acre ranch to facilitate the deportation of violent criminals. This bold move underscores a clear divide between the two parties: one focused on action, the other mired in denial.

Democrats face a crossroads. They can continue dismissing voters’ concerns as “miscommunication” or confronting the hard truths about their policies. The party’s obsession with identity politics, combined with its refusal to address pressing economic and security issues, alienated vital constituencies, including working-class and minority voters.

November 5th was not just a defeat for Kamala Harris or state party leaders but a referendum on the Democratic Party’s vision for America. If Democrats fail to learn from this loss, they risk more than another election—they risk becoming irrelevant in the eyes of the very people they claim to represent.

Insane Woman Hacked Up Her Dad on Election Night. Did Trump's Win Pushed Her Over the Edge?

Wife of prominent trans writer hacked father to death with ice axe after Trump's Election Night victory: cops

This is an older story that happened on election night on the West Coast. It’s a story of possible Trump derangement, the 2024 election, and cold-blooded murder. It did not get a lot of attention for multiple reasons, not least being Donald Trump and the Republicans winning the 2024 election.

The woman who hacked her dad to death over keeping the light on is married to a transgender who is also an editor for Them magazine. So, you can see how this flew under the radar. The murder was brutal and seems to paint a picture of total lunacy. Corey Burke is the suspect, her spouse is Samantha Allen, who are described as a “power lesbian” couple (via NY Post):

Corey Burke considered the bloody rampage — in which she allegedly strangled, bit and hacked her 67-year-old father in the $800,000 Seattle home they shared — an “act of liberation,” charging documents allege.

Burke, 33, is a training program manager at Blue Origin, Jeff Bezos’ spacecraft company, according to her LinkedIn, and is married to prominent transgender writer Samantha Leigh Allen, public records show.

Allen is the author of the acclaimed book “Real Queer America: LGBT Stories from Red States” and an editor at Them, a Conde Nast transgender news publication.

The killing was meant to “help people change their attachment to their parents” and “had to happen today,” Burke told police, her face covered in her father’s blood, according to court documents.

Burke had been upset about the election and knew Trump would handily beat Vice President Kamala Harris when she allegedly snapped — apparently when her father, Timothy Burke, refused to turn off the lights.

She then went upstairs, grabbed an ice “pickax,” tripped her father, choked and bit him on the floor, and struck him repeatedly with the blunt and sharp ends of the tool, police said.

Burke sat down next to her father and watched him die, then smashed all the windows in the house in what she described as “an act of liberation,” officers reported.

When cops arrived, they found Burke “clapping … because she was so happy.”

This incident is going to be turned into a movie. Also, what a psychopath. It seems that unhinged left-wing reactions were local and, at times, tragic, but there were no mass riots. It’s almost as if the Left is exhausted, though cities did board up prominent shop fronts all the same.

Killing your parent is an “act of liberation” because they support Trump. Lock her up and throw away the key.

Conservative Activist to PA Dems: We're Coming for You

Incumbent Democratic Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) finally conceded last night. It took two weeks longer than it should have, but Mr. Casey finally threw in the towel. Republican Dave McCormick is now officially Senator-elect McCormick. There were shenanigans where local Democrats openly defied election law, leading to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court shutting down their scheme to count illegal ballots. It was all captured on video with Bucks County’s Democratic commissioners.

President-elect Donald J. Trump won this crucial county for the first time since Bush 41. Mr. McCormick didn’t win but did well enough to squeak past Casey, who only won here by a 49/48 margin. Activist Scott Presler did the Lord’s work for months, moving to the Keystone State before the 2024 cycle and engaging in voter registration drives that tipped the balance—the Democratic voter advantage in Pennsylvania has been chipped away by the hundreds of thousands.

Presler was instrumental in ensuring that people who were early voting in Bucks could get their votes counted. There was a minor controversy when voters got turned away early, leading to a Republican lawsuit. A judge sided with the Trump camp and extended the early voting period. Presler didn’t forget what Bucks County Democrats tried to pull off here, which was stealing an election. The activist warned that he plans to ensure they update their resumes in their next election. He gave them a chance to resign to avoid such a challenge.

The long-term plan is to turn Pennsylvania into the next Florida.

The work never ends.

Casey Concedes To McCormick In Race For Pennsylvania Senate Seat

(Photo by ALLISON ROBBERT/AFP via Getty Images) / (R) Republican U.S. Senate candidate Dave McCormick and wife Dina Powell thank supporters after declaring victory in a closely contested race with incumbent Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) on November 6, 2024 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Democrat incumbent Bob Casey has conceded to Republican Dave McCormick in the race for Pennsylvania’s Senate seat.

On Thursday, Casey took to X (Twitter) to release a video acknowledging that he will not win back his seat.

The Democrat has held his Pennsylvania Senate seat since 2007.

Prior to being elected as a Pennsylvania senator in 2006, he served as the Pennsylvania treasurer from 2005-2007, and as the state auditor general from 1997-2005.

Casey’s campaign policies centered around women’s “reproductive rights, strengthening workers’ rights, fighting the opioid crisis, increasing financial security for families, workers, and seniors, helping expand small businesses” and more.

According to his website, Casey also believes in giving a voice to those who “are threatened by Congressional Republicans’ recent attempts to give tax cuts to the ultra-rich and to undermine Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.” However, his claims regarding this particular subject have been disputed by some political pundits and GOP politicians.

Experts previously highlighted that Republican Dave McCormick’s campaign was shaping up to be the strongest challenge to Casey in his three bids for reelection.

McCormick served in the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division during the Persian Gulf War. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, and a PhD from Princeton University.

He was also the CEO of Bridgewater Associates, one of the world’s largest hedge funds, from 2022 to 2022.

His campaign focused on the economy, tackling inflation, making America less dependent on China, and growing the state’s energy sector, along with combating the influx of illegal immigrants and overflow of fentanyl being transported into the U.S.

In their contest, Casey attacked McCormick’s former business ties with China, calling him an out-of-state millionaire only fighting to put more money in his back pocket. He also argued that McCormick is “out of touch with Pennsylvanians.”

The Associated Press first called the race for McCormick on November 7th.

However, on November 13th, due to the tightness in the race, Pennsylvania election officials announced that the total votes for each candidate was within the permitted percentage that allows a recount.

After the first counts of ballots were tallied, Casey called his opponent to concede, knowing that there was no path for victory.

“I just called Dave McCormick to congratulate him on his election to represent Pennsylvania in the United States Senate. As the first count of ballots is completed, Pennsylvanians can move forward with the knowledge that their voices were heard, whether their vote was the first to be counted or the last,” he said. “This race was one of the closest in our Commonwealth’s history, decided by less than a quarter of a point.”

Venezuelan Illegal 'Connected To Tren De Aragua' Arrested After Robbing Alvin Bragg Prosecutor, Displaying Lewd Act

(L) NEW YORK, NEW YORK – MAY 30: Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg stands with members of his staff.

According to police sources who spoke to the press on Wednesday, a Venezuelan illegal immigrant connected to the violent gang Tren de Aragua was detained after robbing one of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s prosecutors in her apartment building after she caught him sexually “relieving” himself.

Surfacing reports announced that 25-year-old Brandon Simosa, who is said to be connected to the ruthless Venezuelan gang, was apprehended on Tuesday night outside the Row NYC Hotel migrant shelter in Midtown Manhattan.

When the 38-year-old assistant district attorney came home to her 44th Street apartment at around two in the morning on Sunday, that’s when he robbed her. She reportedly caught him in the middle of the obscene sexual act in the corridor of the building.

Simosa, who is also known as Brandon Jesus Simoza Seijas, also allegedly stole the prosecutor’s phone when she dropped it, running off with it. Sources noted that the phone was later located near the migrant shelter.

Simosa, who now faces numerous charges, including grand larceny, sexually motivated robbery, and illegal possession of stolen property, was seen smiling as police dragged him away in handcuffs before his scheduled arraignment on Wednesday.

Specifically when and where Simosa had been residing in New York was not included in the officer’s information. According to insiders, one of his residences was once on the list of the city’s taxpayer-funded Queens migrant shelters, according to the New York Post.

Federal law enforcement officials told the press that Simosa illegally entered the United States in October last year at Eagle Pass, Texas.

Federal authorities also say that he was initially detained by U.S. border patrol officials, but was later released with a notice to appear before an immigration judge in New York City. However, a court ultimately threw out his removal procedures case in February for “unknown” reasons, according to the sources. Simosa was no longer being aggressively sought for deportation as a result of the ruling, which left him with no pending immigration applications.

Although local officials wouldn’t have notified U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement of the arrests due to the city’s “sanctuary” status, Simosa amassed a substantial criminal record during his short time in the Big Apple, including six busts in the last ten months alone, according to police.

Police sources also noted that Simosa was arrested just last week and charged with grand larceny in connection with a theft that occurred at a CVS store in Times Square on April 23rd. He was released soon after.

According to authorities, he was also detained for a series of other robberies, violent assaults, and transit evasions that occurred in Queens and Manhattan between January and August.

His arrests for the Times Square CVS incident on November 11th, grand larceny inside Macy’s at the Queens Center Mall in Elmhurst on August 5th, and robbery at a Flushing supermarket on June 13th are among the at least three cases he still has pending, the police sources added.

Russia Fires ICBM for First Time Into Ukraine

Russia Fires ICBM for First Time Into Ukraine

Russia launched an intercontinental ballistic missile during an attack on Ukraine on Thursday, Kyiv's air force said, in the first known use in the war of a powerful weapon designed to deliver nuclear strikes thousands of kilometers away.

The launch was the latest sign of rapidly mounting tensions in the 33-month-old war after Ukraine fired U.S. and British missiles at targets inside Russia this week despite warnings by Moscow that it would see such action as a major escalation.

Security experts said that, if confirmed, it would be the first military use of an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) – strategic weapons designed to deliver nuclear warheads and are an important part of Russia's nuclear deterrent.

The Ukrainians did not specify what kind of warhead the missile had or what type of missile it was. There was no suggestion it was nuclear-armed.

Russia did not immediately comment on the Ukrainian air force statement. Asked by reporters about the air force statement, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters to contact the Russian military for comment.

Ukrainska Pravda, a Kyiv-based media outlet, cited anonymous sources saying the missile was an RS-26 Rubezh, a solid-fueled intercontinental ballistic missile with a range of 5,800 km, according to the Arms Control Association.

The RS-26 was first successfully tested in 2012, and is estimated to be 12 meters (40 ft) long and weigh 36 tons, according to the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). It said the RS-26 can carry an 800-kg (1,765-pound)nuclear warhead.

The Russian missile attack targeted enterprises and critical infrastructure in the central-eastern city of Dnipro, the air force said.

The air force did not say what the ICBM had targeted or whether it had caused any damage, but regional governor Serhiy Lysak said the missile attack caused damage to an industrial enterprise and set off fires in Dnipro. Two people were hurt.

Russia also fired a Kinzhal hypersonic missile and seven Kh-101 cruise missiles, six of which were shot down, the Ukrainian air force said.

"In particular, an intercontinental ballistic missile was launched from the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation," it said.

Astrakhan is more than 700 km (435 miles) from the Ukrainian city of Dnipro.

'Totally Unprecedented'

Defense Express, a Ukrainian defense consultancy, asked whether the United States, Kyiv's main international ally, had been informed about the missile launch ahead of time.

"It is also a question of whether the United States was warned about the launch and its direction, as the announcement of such launches is a prerequisite for preventing the triggering of a missile warning system and the launch of missiles in response," Defence Express wrote.

The NATO military alliance did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

"If true this will be totally unprecedented and the first actual military use of ICBM. Not that it makes a lot of sense given their price and precision," Andrey Baklitskiy of the U.N. Institute for Disarmament Research posted on X.

German security expert Ulrich Kuehn posted: "It looks as if Russia has today used an intercontinental ballistic missile in a war for the first time in history, against the civilian target Dnipro."

Russian war correspondents on Telegram and an official speaking on condition of anonymity said Kyiv fired British Storm Shadow cruise missiles into Russia's Kursk region bordering Ukraine on Wednesday.

A spokesperson for Ukraine's General Staff said he had no information and the extent of any damage caused was not clear.

Russia's defense ministry, in its daily report of events over the previous 24 hours on Thursday, said air defenses had shot down two British Storm Shadow cruise missiles.

Ukraine fired U.S. ATACMS missiles into Russia on Tuesday after U.S. President Joe Biden gave the all-clear to use such missiles, two months before he leaves office and Donald Trump returns to the White House. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday lowered the threshold for a nuclear strike in response to a broader range of conventional attacks.

Trump has said he will end the war, without saying how, and criticized billions of dollars in aid for Ukraine under Biden. The warring sides believe Trump is likely to push for peace talks – not known to have been held since the war's earliest months – and are trying to attain strong positions before negotiations.

Moscow has said repeatedly that the use of Western weapons to strike Russian territory far from the border would be a major escalation in the conflict. Kyiv says it needs the capability to defend itself by hitting Russian rear bases used to support Moscow's invasion.

Comcast Makes the Decision to Leave Behind Its Sinking Ship MSNBC, Rats and All

Just ahead of the election, media conglomerate Comcast-Universal hinted that it was looking into the prospect of either putting up for sale or spinning off its cable television division. The clutch of channels it owns includes a number of cable mainstays, such as CNBC, The USA Network, E!, SyFy, and The Golf Channel, as well as Oprah Winfrey’s lightly regarded Oxygen. The most prominent — and most controversial — name on the list has to be MSNBC.

This was a position you could almost have sympathy over, given the state of cable television these days. Cord-cutting has not only been trending, it has accelerated at a rate that it is by now an outright cultural shift, and the prospects are dim. NBC-U is not facing a buyer’s market but one in which there might be no interest. As a result, it announced today that it would divest the cable division into its own entity.

So most of the cable networks will be bundled together into a new entity (with the curious omission being Bravo, which NBC-U will see remaining under its umbrella) as well as the cinema-based digital outlet Rotten Tomatoes and the movie ticketing/streaming service Fandango. A number of NBC executives will pilot this new entity, which will begin its separate existence in the new year.

The cable channels are reported by Ben Mullin to still be profitable, but the fortunes for this sector are looking dim, and the long-term prospects are expected to be a drag on the company. NBC-U will retain the broadcast division, as this is still considered a revenue stream, entirely due to sports, which dominate viewership these days. Last year, of the top 100 watched broadcasts, we see how dependent they are: 93 were NFL games, four were NCAA games, and the other three were special event broadcasts. The first scheduled programming you see was ranked 136th for the year.

Since that prior announcement by NBC-U, the prospects for its left-wing news channel have only become worse, with the Donald Trump victory taking things to new lows. First, there was the revelation that Al Sharpton pocketed a tidy sum from the lavish-spending Kamala Harris campaign, where the bad reverend was granted $500,000, and he repaid Kamala when he delivered a tongue-bath interview on October 20. This is a severe breach of journalism ethics, and the network heads have not addressed this payola scandal in any fashion.

Then, since the election, MSNBC has seen its ratings collapse. The days immediately following the result saw the network lose more than 50 percent of its audience, and things only deteriorated from there. The following week, they plunged to depths not seen in decades, with the recent returns showing no recovery. Then came the big admission.

On the flagship program “Morning Joe,” the wedded co-hosts came out to announce that over the weekend, a meeting with Donald Trump was arranged, as they had turned supplicants and visited him at Mar-a-Lago. This was met with all manner of negative feedback from their fanbase, others at the network, and even some names attached to the show. The revulsion was such that the program saw immediate viewer reactions within the hour.

What this spinoff plan means for the prospects of MSNBC remains in a fog. Will there be cost-cutting and salaries trimmed or even firing of talent taking place? Does this lead to a shift in focus to a more balanced approach, or will the on-air pundits be freed from a corporate mandate and allowed to spout off even more? And what about the connective tissue it currently enjoys with the NBC News division — will the relationship remain tight, or will there be a distancing seen from the parent network?

Whichever the case, it is clear that changes will emerge. It is also obvious that changes are desperately needed, but it is a mystery if corrective action will be taken.

North Carolina Whistleblower: FEMA Has Housing Units but Has No Timeline to 'Release' Them

Helene continues to be a homewrecker. The hurricane that swept through western North Carolina in October, ravaging towns, destroying roads, burying people, and ruining lives, continues to haunt North Carolinians. Is the government doing what it should to help? It doesn't seem so.

We tend to forget unless reminded, but people are still suffering in North Carolina. America was assured that FEMA was there to help. And maybe they were, but we were also told that claims of FEMA slow walking desperately needed help and aid were nasty, baseless rumors. Until they weren't rumors. A FEMA crew leader told her team to avoid houses with Trump signs. She was fired, but she had a lot to say.

[N]ow that unemployed official is talking, and she's revealing there's much more to the story. Her name is Marn'i Washington, and she was a reservist disaster assistance crew leader. She spoke to Roland Martin on his show "Roland Martin Unfiltered" on the Black Star Network on Monday evening and said the avoidance in question was "not isolated" and was part of a broader agency approach.

She alleged it was a "colossal event of avoidance not just in the state of Florida" but that it also happened "in the Carolinas." She said, "Senior leadership will lie to you and tell you they did not know." But she said if you asked the people in the field, they would tell you.

She claimed that the avoidance was about keeping teams safe.

Before that, we watched as FEMA employees gave each other virtual hugs on a Zoom call demanding that FEMA prioritize help based on DEI.

We learned that rebuilding roads that were destroyed might take a year. Coal miners from West Virginia said, “Not on your life.”

A group of coal miners from West Virginia have finished building a road from Big Chimney in under a week.

A road that North Carolina Government Officials said would take several months to a year for them to do. #appalachianstrong pic.twitter.com/Y5E9BWbcAM

— Appalachian Liberty (@Liberty_Xtreme) October 26, 2024

I mused about the coal miners not pulling permits and maybe not submitting an environmental impact report (in triplicate). I guess I wasn’t far off.

No doubt that government officials are claiming that the road built by coal miners wasn't constructed to last, and someone might get hurt driving on it.

Then fix it.

When America was brought into World War II, America ramped up. American workers got it done. By example

Liberty Ships, the "Ugly Duckling" workhorses of World War II, were built in 13 states by 15 companies in 18 shipyards. The first of 2,710 Liberty ships, the SS Patrick Henry, was launched in September 1941, after 150 days of construction. (The shipyard was built at the same time as the ship.)

The Liberty ship Robert E. Peary was built in four days, 15 hours, and 29 minutes — entire ship built in under a week. If government wanted to get things "done" in North Carolina, things would get done. Government in western North Carolina isn’t solving problems; it is doing what it does best: It’s putting up roadblocks. Literal roadblocks.

Is government helping to house people who lost everything?

While federal employees are mostly working from home, people in western North Carolina don’t have homes. FEMA people are cutting videos and claiming they are doing their best. Are they?

🚨#BREAKING: Officials at FEMA have just posted a new video touring brand housing units they say are available to #WNC.

What they fail to mention in the video is that in the 2 months since in the hurricane... only FOUR UNITS have been delivered.

You read that right.

Four. pic.twitter.com/9X5HXllmqA

— Matt Van Swol (@matt_vanswol) November 20, 2024

Why the delay? Why is FEMA producing videos but not delivering housing to people who are living in tents?

I hate that I even have to post this.

Here is aerial footage I shot this morning of one of the many "tent cities" in #WNC due to Helene.

FEMA says these don't exist. Yet, here it is.

So, where are you FEMA? Why have you abandoned us?

I don't understand. pic.twitter.com/afH5mLobpp

— Matt Van Swol (@matt_vanswol) November 18, 2024

Is there a reason — a legitimate reason? Or is FEMA doing what government always does? Nothing productive. Winter is right around the corner. Units are waiting. And for what?

🚨BREAKING🚨

Whistleblower from NCGA reveals there are FEMA trailers sitting in Hickory right now and FEMA has no timeline on when those will be deployed to those who need them.

Meanwhile, people across the region are sleeping in tents. Tonight it will snow - and the temps will… pic.twitter.com/wUkpkNULj1

— Cassie Clark (@dogwoodblooms) November 20, 2024

Everyone recalls what happened in New Orleans, and a lot of the stories turned out to be myth. Here is actual evidence of people in desperate need and FEMA is sitting on its hands.
