Rep. Gill to Newsmax: Will Hold Activist Judges Accountable

Rep. Gill Fundraising Email: Sign Petition to Deport Rep. Omar | Newsmax.com

Rep. Brandon Gill, R-Texas, told Newsmax on Wednesday that activist judges who act like the commander in chief must be held accountable.

Gill previously introduced impeachment articles against U.S. District Judge James Boasberg

Judge rips DOJ's 'woefully insufficient' response to questions about Alien Enemies Act case

after he ordered flights deporting more than 250 illegal immigrants believed to be members of the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua halted and returned to the U.S.

"This is an activist, left-wing district court judge who decided to take it upon himself to act as commander in chief of the United States and demand that President [Donald] Trump bring a plane full of Aragua alien terrorists back into the United States," Gill said on "Newsline." "That is a blatant usurpation of the executive's authority. I think that it does warrant impeachment, and I've been very clear about that for the past several weeks."

Gill said even if it doesn't move forward with impeachment, there are many ways the House Judiciary Committee, on which he sits, can push back against activist judges, like a bill that would block district court judges from issuing nationwide injunctions.

Gill asserted there Americans who are being murdered, raped, and pillaged by illegal immigrants Boasberg wants to see remain in the country.

"It's a serious matter of national security," Gill said. "It is repelling an alien enemy invasion that President Trump is doing in getting these evil people out of our country, and he is trying to stop a duly elected president who received 77 million votes, largely on this very issue, from executing on his mandate. It's unconstitutional, it's wrong."

CNN Host Flattened After Whoppers Told About Musk, DOGE in Tense Exchange on Wisconsin Court Race

The aftermath of hotly contested races, especially those with national implications, inevitably brings about various hot takes on what supposedly helped lead the one candidate to victory and what contributed to the losing candidate failing to come out on top.

That was of course the case Tuesday night on CNN, where a tense exchange ensued over what role Tesla CEO and DOGE advisor Elon Musk's involvement in the race may have played in the contest's outcome, which saw Democrat Judge Susan Crawford defeat Republican Judge Brad Schimel thanks in part to a flood of outside spending for Crawford.

SEE ALSO: Musk Headlines Rally for Crucial Wisconsin Supreme Court Candidate, Hands Out Millions of Dollars

The participants were CNN anchor Abby Phillip and former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R).

CNN host spars with former Wisconsin governor on the claim Musk said he would cut Social Security

Walker, as RedState readers know, was twice elected governor of the Badger State and survived a recall election, so he's very familiar with how the political machine operates there. He was one of the loudest voices in the country sounding the alarm bells about what a Schimel loss could mean for President Trump's agenda and future Congressional races.

Phillip asserted that Musk came to Wisconsin and talked about "cutting' Social Security and Medicaid. When Walker corrected her, she then tried to say DOGE team members "talked about it." Walker corrected her on that, too, and then pointed out that lies like the ones she told potentially could have persuaded voters to vote for Crawford:

PHILLIP: Not only did he spend the money, he came to the state, he came to the state, he talked about cutting. Medicaid, Social Security through DOGE, bringing those issues up for --

WALKER: Actually, he never talked -- he explicitly said that he would not cut Social Security. That's exactly what he said.

PHILLIP: Well, he talked at his rallies.

WALKER: No, other people said about that, but I was there. I watched him. He did not say he was going to cut Medicaid.

PHILLIP: All right, well other people at his rallies who worked for DOGE, who worked for Elon Musk's organization talked about those issues.

WALKER: No, I was at the rally. Not one of them said that. That's what protesters said, but nobody there actually said that.

PHILLIP: Do you think that there are risks here --

WALKER: There are if people who believe the lies that people were saying about that. That's not at all what they said. If people believe that Medicaid and Medicare is going to be touched, that's just a flat right outright lie. What he talked about are people who over 120 years old.

Watch:

As far as I'm concerned, that's a pretty solid blueprint for countering the corporate media's blatant falsehoods and parroting of Democrat talking points. The only thing he should have added to it was to demand receipts - video clips, tweets, what have you, of Musk or DOGE members gleefully boasting about taking away these benefits from anyone who legitimately earned or qualified for them.

She can't because no such clips or tweets exist:

At the Green Bay event, Musk spoke with DOGE volunteer Antonio Gracias about the widespread fraud they found in the Social Security system. Both Musk and Gracias reiterated that there would be no cuts to legitimate Social Security payments.

"I just stated as crisply and clearly as possible that DOGE will absolutely ensure that people get their Social Security, make sure they get that Social Security, make sure they get their Medicaid and will not be cutting any legitimate payments whatsoever. Crystal clear," Musk said.

Gracias added, "Nothing has happened on the ground that would impact the level of payments going to people that legitimately are owed those payments. Period. A lot is going to happen to people that are stealing from the system. They're not getting the payments."

Musk, DOGE, and Walker: 1, Abby Phillip: 0.

Former TDS Survivor Goes on Epic Rant About Tariffs on 'Piers Morgan,' Leaves Lefties Shellshocked

Journalist and author Batya Ungar-Sargon

Batya Ungar-Sargon | AJC

admits that she once succumbed to TDS—Trump Derangement Syndrome—and even stopped going to her local bar in 2016 because people there voted for Trump. But now, she’s had a conversion and describes herself as a "MAGA lefty."

I’m not one who refuses to accept those that have seen the light—there’s a plethora of progressives who are coming to the belated realization that the Democrats and the mainstream media have been gaslighting and brainwashing them for decades—and we should welcome them, not shun them (with caution, of course, because some of them are just sailing with the prevailing winds and have no core values whatsoever).

Ungar-Sargon delivered an epic monologue on Piers Morgan’s “Uncensored” show Wednesday night where she left liberal “Young Turks” host Cenk Uygur looking shell-shocked and speechless.

Watch:

The clip is long, but I encourage you to watch it all. Her passion is contagious, and I'll try to sum up some of the key moments. Piers Morgan and the other guests didn’t even interrupt her fiery speech because they looked absolutely transfixed:

But what I find so frustrating about the conversation around tariffs is that we all agree on the problem. We all agree that the de-industrialization of America led to the downward mobility of the American working class, depths of despair, people working multiple jobs and not being able to afford the American dream…

We all agree that it is deeply unfair for the American middle class to be bearing the burden of unfair tariffs from other countries...

But what's the point of these tariffs, and why are we coming down on our neighbors like Canada and Mexico? Because they're not stepping up to the plate on the fentanyl crisis and they're happily taking crucial manufacturing out of the U.S., she argued:

We have already seen these tariffs work, Piers; the number of people crossing the southern border is at zero. Fentanyl is at record lows... We have already seen $1.2 trillion in manufacturing invested in this country since January 21st. So they have already worked.

Then she unloaded on Wall St.:

Now, how long is Wall Street gonna keep trying to punish this president for standing for the American working class? I don't know, but I can tell you that the view from the street is people cannot believe that there is a president who is working for them, who is putting them first and telling Wall Street to go screw itself. Wall Street, which picked the Democrats for the last three election cycles in a row.

Bill Maher Asks Batya Ungar-Sargon If She Regrets Supporting Trump—She Levels Him in Response

Senior Advisor for the U.S. Agency for Global Media and fellow panelist Kari Lake liked what she saw:

My favorite part of the whole exchange was watching the other panelists (not including Lake, who seemed appreciative of the hot take) glaze over as they realized they had no response.

Trump’s tariffs are a complicated issue, and much is unknown about the effect they will have. Ungar-Sargon, however, laid out one of the best arguments I have seen on the matter. She may be a former leftist, but she’s breathing “MAGA lefty” fire now.

Trump is fighting for America, and even formerly TDS-infected libs are taking notice.

After Many Warnings, Trump Admin. Freezes Funding for Maine Over Refusal to Comply With Executive Order

On Wednesday, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) informed Maine that it froze the state's federal funding over their refusal to comply with President Donald Trump's executive order from early February banning boys and men from competing in girls' and women's sports. The Daily Wire reported on the update on Wednesday.

The notice came in a letter from Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins:

In a letter first obtained by The Daily Wire, the USDA warned Maine, “you cannot openly violate federal law against discrimination in education and expect federal funding to continue unabated.”

“Your defiance of federal law has cost your state, which is bound by Title IX in educational programming,” said Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins. “Today, I am freezing Maine’s federal funds for certain administrative and technological functions in schools. This is only the beginning, though you are free to end it at any time by protecting women and girls in compliance with federal law.”

USDA is also reviewing all research and education-related funding in Maine to see if it is in compliance with the Constitution, federal law including Titles VI and IX, and the priorities of President Donald Trump’s administration, the USDA said.

“In order to continue to receive taxpayer dollars from USDA, the state of Maine must demonstrate compliance with Title IX’s protection of female student athletes from having to compete with or against or having to appear unclothed before males,” Rollins wrote. “USDA, alongside other federal agencies, will continue to pause and, where appropriate, terminate categories of education programming in Maine if these Title IX violations are not resolved to the satisfaction of the Federal Government.”

The pause will not impact federal feeding programs or direct assistance to Mainers, Rollins noted: “if a child was fed today, they will be fed tomorrow.”

“In addition, USDA has launched a full review of grants awarded by the Biden Administration to the Maine Department of Education,” she said. “Many of these grants appear to be wasteful, redundant, or otherwise against the priorities of the Trump Administration. USDA will not extend the Biden Administration’s bloated bureaucracy and will instead focus on a Department that is farmer-first and without a leftist social agenda. We look forward to the State’s cooperation with all federal reviews and future compliance with federal law and policy.”

The battle has been going on for months between Trump and Maine's Democratic governor, Janet Mills, with the Trump administration sending out several warnings and notices. At a White House event for governors in late February, Trump called the governor out personally for not complying, with each threatening the other about court battles.

It's not merely the governor who is being difficult. Maine Democrats in the state legislature also censured Republican Rep. Laurel Libby for daring to speak about the real-world consequences of boys competing in girls sports, including in her state. Maine Speaker of the House Ryan Fecteau, a Democrat, deleted his X account after the backlash. Last month, Libby announced that she was filing a lawsuit as a result.

Libby released a statement in response to Wednesday's news as well. "Governor Janet Mills and Maine Democrats have chosen to dig their heels in and embrace radical left-wing ideology over the safety and rights of Maine women and girls. Despite repeated warnings from President Trump, Maine Democrats continued to defy federal law, forcing Maine girls to unfairly compete against biological males," she said. "As a result, Maine's Democrat majority has poised Maine students to lose hundreds of millions in federal funding, starting with our USDA funding, instead of championing Maine girls by adhering to federal law. I continue to stand firmly with Maine girls and President Trump in the pursuit of sanity and fairness. I implore Maine Democrats to abandon this incredibly harmful and radical gender ideology for the sake of our students."

The FBI Admits They Knew the Hunter Biden Laptop Was Authentic From Day One

This story isn’t over. Heads should roll over this elaborate plot to muzzle the Hunter Biden laptop story, which the FBI knew was authentic from day one. Michael Shellenberger, Alex Gutentag, and Catherine Herridge wrote in Public about the now-released, though heavily redacted chats, the bureau had among top officials and the agent who acted like the liaison between the FBI and Silicon Valley. The bureau had an extensive team working with social media companies to suppress certain opinions and stories while trying to influence public opinion. That operation has blessedly been obliterated. We also learned that an FBI official authenticated the laptop in October of 2020, which was when the gag order was issued (via Public):

In 2024, an FBI official admitted to House investigators that an FBI employee had inadvertently confirmed the authenticity of Hunter Biden’s laptop to Twitter on a conference call the morning of October 14, 2020, the day the New York Post published a story about it.

“I recall that when the question came up, an intelligence analyst assigned to the Criminal Investigative Division said something to the effect of, ‘Yes, the laptop is real’,” testified the then-Russia Unit Chief of the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force in a closed door transcribed interview.

[…]

The FBI provided the chat messages to congressional investigators with heavy redactions.

Some of the redactions on the chats are marked “OGC AGC,” which appears to mean that they were made by the FBI’s Office of General Counsel and Associate General Counsel.

An individual whose name is blacked out, tells Elvis M. Chan, the San Francisco-based FBI special agent tasked with interacting with social media companies, there was a “gag order” on discussion of Hunter Biden’s laptop. In a separate exchange, Chan is told “official response no commen(t).”

In the chat, the FBI officials showed awareness that the laptop may have contained evidence of criminal activity.

Asked Chan, “actually what kind of case is the laptop thing? corruption? campaign financing?”

Another FBI employee responds, “CLOSE HOLD —” after which the response is redacted.

To which Chan responds, “oh crap” appearing to underscore the serious nature of the probe, which included felony tax charges. Chan adds, “ok. It ends here”.

[…]

According to the IRS whistleblowers, DOJ prosecutors blocked standard investigative protocols that might have led to Joe Biden ahead of the presidential campaign.

“There were a lot of overt investigative steps that we were not allowed to take because we had an upcoming election,” said Joseph Ziegler, the IRS case agent on the Hunter Biden probe.. “And it related to the president's son. So not even the candidate.”

The FBI chat is cryptic and the heavy redactions make it difficult to discern context. For example, an employee says to Chan that “[redacted] has a gag order from [redacted]... got checked by [redacted] had to backtrack - sorry!”

[…]

Shapley added, “It was misinformation to try to make something else look like misinformation.”

The IRS whistleblowers [Gary Shapley and Joseph Zeigler], who were recently elevated to IRS headquarters to support badly needed cultural change at the Agency, said federal investigators “corroborated” early in the case that ‘The Big Guy’ on Hunter Biden’s laptop was then candidate Joe Biden.

[…]

Speaking exclusively to Catherine Herridge Reports after Hunter Biden’s guilty plea to felony tax charges last fall, the IRS whistleblowers said the FBI, IRS, and Justice Department knew immediately the Hunter Biden laptop was real.

And yet, Democrats want us to believe the opposite, and still do despite the evidence that their little scheme got busted. Their clowns at the FBI got exposed, their operatives in the intelligence community burned, and their allies in the liberal media self-immolated the last shred of their credibility. It’s over. The Department of Justice knew this damning story about Joe and Hunter Biden was real, and the powers that be, with the media’s help, moved to suffocate the story. They failed. It might have taken months for them to catch up, but with Joe Biden still president and this laptop story still floating around, it was clear that the device wasn’t Russian disinformation.

The FBI and DOJ need an overhaul, and we have Kash Patel and Pam Bondi leading that effort, respectively. This is the swamp, folks. And in most cases, you can see why the feds always win and crush their opposition. You need a heavyweight fighter like Trump to bust this up.

Hunter Biden Surrenders D.C. Law License, Avoiding Disbarment Proceedings

Hunter Biden, son of U.S. President Joe Biden.

Due to his criminal history, Hunter Biden has agreed to revoke his license to practice law in Washington, D.C.

Hunter was previously convicted on three felony tax offenses and six misdemeanor tax offenses, according to the Department of Justice. He was also convicted of three felony charges related to the purchase of a revolver in 2018.

Nevertheless, his father, former President Joe Biden, pardoned him in December 2024 — despite the fact that the former Democrat president had vowed not to pardon him numerous times prior.

“I believe in the justice system, but as I have wrestled with this, I also believe raw politics has infected this process and it led to a miscarriage of justice,” Biden stated at the time.

The decision by Joe Biden’s son was made public this week in a series of filings by the D.C. Bar’s Board on Professional Responsibility, which is in charge of attorney discipline actions.

By voluntarily accepting disbarment, Hunter avoided potentially drawn-out legal proceedings on whether his two previous criminal convictions necessitated the loss of his law license.

He was found guilty of lying on a gun-purchase form about his drug use and possessing a firearm while under the influence of illegal narcotics. He also entered a guilty plea to tax evasion and other tax offenses in September.

According to what its members claimed was “standard procedure,” the board kept the specifics of Hunter’s decision under wraps.

The board suggested that his voluntary disbarment be accepted by the D.C. Court of Appeals — which has the last word on all attorney discipline cases.

In the beginning of March this year, 55-year-old Hunter conveyed through a court filing that he was a struggling artist, attributing his financial hardships to a lack of art sales and the January L.A. fires — hitting him hard following the departure of his father, former President Joe Biden, from the White House.

Millions Of Americans Remain Without 'Real ID' As May 7 Deadline Approaches

PASADENA, CA - FEBRUARY 06: Signage is seen at the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) February 6, 2009 in Pasadena, California. The DMV is closed as part of the first state employee furloughs in California history in response to California's budget crisis. About 90 percent of the state's 238,000 employees have been ordered by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to take two days off without pay each month, the equivalent of about a 10 percent wage reduction, through June 2010. The governor says that the mandatory furloughs at agencies such as the DMV, Veterans Affairs, Department of Consumer Affairs, California Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Child Support Services will save the state about $1.4 billion. (Photo by David McNew/Getty Images)
Signage is seen at the State of California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) February 6, 2009 in Pasadena, California.

With the May 7th deadline approaching, millions of Americans have still not obtained a “Real ID,” which is required for boarding flights or accessing federal facilities.

The Real ID Act was passed by Congress in 2005, after a recommendation from the 9/11 Commission.

“Beginning May 7, 2025, anyone 18 years and older that plans to fly domestically or visit certain Federal facilities will need a REAL ID or another acceptable form of identification. The Act’s prohibitions do not affect other uses of driver’s licenses or identification cards unrelated to official purposes as defined in the Act,” according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The Department of Homeland Security estimates that 61.2% of IDs and driver’s licenses will meet the standard by the deadline, as Americans seeking the Real ID must obtain an appointment at a DMV. Americans must provide multiple documents that include one’s full name, date of birth, and Social Security number — among other items.

“Everybody is responsible for presenting the proper travel documents when they come to the checkpoint,” stated TSA spokesperson Patricia Mancha.

Mancha went on to explain that despite the May 7th deadline, “there’s going to be a phased approach of enforcement, but people may experience travel delays.”

Despite the requirement to board an airplane, TSA will alternatively accept a U.S. passport or a military ID.

Real IDs are not needed to drive, vote, or apply for federal benefits.

Meanwhile, the deadline has generated a mass rush to DMVs across the nation — as Americans scramble to stay compliant for air travel.

In one instance in Miami-Dade county, Florida, scalpers were discovered to be hoarding free DMV appointments for individuals looking to upgrade to the Real ID — selling the appointment slots for up to $250.

Beginning May 7, 2025, all airline passengers in the United States will have to comply with new identification requirements for domestic flights.

Another Election Rigged by the Democrats.

Trump's Liberation Day Starts Now!

What does Trump's Liberation Day mean for tariffs and prices : NPR

President Donald Trump has kept everyone guessing regarding the extent of the tariffs he is expected to unveil Wednesday, but the message from the White House is consistent: If you do business in the U.S., you won't need to pay anything.

Trump has referred to Wednesday as "Liberation Day" because the U.S. no longer will be taken advantage of through unfair trade imbalances with other countries. He has scheduled a "Make America Wealthy Again" news conference for 4 p.m. ET in the Rose Garden at the White House.

"I don't want to get ahead of the president," White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters Tuesday. "This is obviously a very big day. He's with his trade and tariff team right now, perfecting it to make sure this is a perfect deal for the American people and the American worker, and you will all find out in about 24 hours from now.

"A tariff will be attached on these foreign nations, these foreign companies, and if they want to be absolved of that tariff, then they can come here to the United States of America to do business, bring their jobs here."

Some of the options the administration has been debating in recent weeks include:

  • A 20% flat tariff rate on all imports, which officials said could raise more than $6 trillion in revenue, according to ABC News.
  • Reciprocal tariffs on barriers countries impose on U.S. products. Countries that strike deals with the U.S. won't be hit with tariffs.
  • A middle-ground approach that could include targeting a swath of countries with lower duties, while singling out a subset for higher rates, which could be individualized or imposed as a group, according to The Wall Street Journal. The administration previously considered plans for three tiers of tariffs — low, medium, and high — before abandoning that plan in favor of individualized rates.

National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett reportedly said Sunday that there are 15 countries "that we have massive, massive trade deficits with," but that Trump will ultimately decide how many countries will be subject to new tariffs Wednesday.

Multiple nations run large annual trade surpluses with the U.S., including Germany, Ireland and Italy, as well as Vietnam, Japan, and Taiwan.

"What you're going to be seeing over the next couple of days will be very inspiring to a lot of people," Trump told reporters Tuesday at the Oval Office. "A lot of auto plants being built in a certain country – I don't want to mention the country because we get along great with the country – but those plants aren't being built there anymore, they gave them up yesterday and the day before. They are building them all now in the United States."

Last week, Trump announced a 25% tariff on all auto imports, which is set to begin Thursday, and 25% worldwide tariffs on steel and aluminum took effect in mid-March. China was hit in March by additional 20% tariffs on all goods, triggering retaliatory duties from Beijing. The European Union has unveiled its own measures to start sometime this month.

Trump also has imposed tariffs on goods from Canada and Mexico as a means of pressuring them to clamp down on fentanyl trafficking and illegal immigration.
