The Trump administration warned temporary protected status holders Friday that their window to accept a $2,600 stipend and a free flight home is closing fast. The Department of Homeland Security's general counsel, James Percival, said lower courts are still blocking terminations already cleared by the Supreme Court. As of Friday, work permits for TPS recipients from Haiti, Syria, and five other countries remain valid under interim guidance from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, even as DHS presses recipients to leave voluntarily before that protection lapses. Percival said the extension had been widely misread as a reprieve. "For those with an expiring TPS designation, these final days provide one last opportunity to accept $2,600 and a free flight home," he wrote on X in comments carried by Newsweek. The stipend, tied to voluntary departure through Customs and Border Protection's CBP Home app, was raised from $1,000 to its current level in a January DHS announcement marking the first anniversary of the second Trump administration. The June 25 ruling in Mullin v. Doe, consolidated with Trump v. Miot, split 6-3 in a decision holding that Congress had barred federal courts from reviewing nonconstitutional challenges to a homeland security secretary's decision to designate, extend, or terminate TPS. Justice Samuel Alito, writing for the majority, reversed lower court orders that had frozen terminations for roughly 350,000 Haitian and 6,000 Syrian nationals, and remanded for further proceedings. Implementation has moved unevenly. USCIS and E-Verify have issued rolling extensions covering TPS holders from Haiti, Syria, Burma (Myanmar), Ethiopia, Somalia, South Sudan, and Yemen, most recently pushing the operative Form I-9 date for Haiti to July 24, according to agency notices posted this month. California Gov. Gavin Newsom found the perfect person to be his “First Partner,” someone who, like him, seems to have been created by an AI bot. They both speak in important-sounding but usually meaningless word salads that seem to come straight out of the Manual of Woke, they both have the generic good looks of daytime soap stars, and they both seem to think extremely highly of themselves despite constantly being embroiled in ugly controversies. Her name is Jennifer Siebel Newsom, and as with almost every recent public appearance she’s made lately, she turned the cringe factor up to 11 on Friday when she sat for an interview with the equally insufferable and self-satisfied newsperson, Stephanie Ruhle of the comedy network recently rebranded as MS NOW. Siebel Newsom went on and on about how Donald Trump is going on a “fishing investigation,” trying to bring down her and her hubby with a Department of Justice investigation into their highly questionable financial exploits. One thing she seemed to forget, however: the DOJ started looking into the couple during the Biden administration. Oops. I almost expected to see smoke coming out of her ears as her brain circuits overloaded: Suddenly, this supposed champion of women decided to play the stereotypical dumb blonde. “I don’t know the details,” she flustered. Wait, I thought you were supposed to be the First Partner, a presumed co-equal to the governor? What an embarrassment. Does he “know the details,” at least? One would hope. Not exactly a Mensa candidate here, folks. Of course, diversity of thought is strongly discouraged in her state, but that will never be a concern of hers. The Cheshire cat-grinning Ruhle looked like she had the famous "thrill up the leg" during this entire mindless monologue. Of course, Newsom's virtue-signalling string of words was preposterous because Gavin has clearly been campaigning for the Democrat nomination for at least the last two years, is constantly jetting off to red states to get attention, even showing up at international forums like the World Economic Forum in Davos (where his speech was scrubbed because he was not even part of the official delegation), and trolling Republicans like Trump and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who smoked him in their 2023 debate and has run his state infinitely better than Newsom has his. What neither Gavin Newsom nor his wife has done is improve the lives of Californians, as evidenced by the huge number of them leaving. While he regularly produces so many cringe-worthy moments that they should come with a warning label, she is arguably even more wince-inducing. I don’t think it’s going to go well for her when the national audience starts paying attention. That does not make me sad. J.K. Rowling Is Absolutely Destroying Amnesty International, and We're Enjoying It

Amnesty International picked a fight it's going to lose. The other day, the human rights organization made the very bad choice to list Beria's Place, a women's rape crisis shelter, as well as For Women Scotland and the Gay Men's Network, as hate groups. Why? Because they believe in the gender binary, Beria's Place only allows biological women to use its services. Gone are the days when Amnesty lobbied to protect political prisoners. Instead, they're now pushing to abuse women and punish gays and lesbians who don't bend the knee to the radical trans agenda. The problem is this: Beria's Place was started by J.K. Rowling, probably the only person on the planet outside of Elon Musk with the money and the clout to obliterate Amnesty International for their sexism, homophobia, and bigotry. The lengthy letter then notes that the Amnesty International report has been temporarily withdrawn, but lists three remedies the organization must take to avoid litigation. That includes a permanent withdrawal of the report and the accompanying methodology, a public letter of apology posted on front page of the Amnesty International website in terms agreed to by Beria's Place, and an external investigation into how the report was created and published. And Rowling isn't afraid of the Streisand Effect here, either. Sunlight is the best disinfectant. What Amnesty International did was inexcusable, and we're glad to see they're getting absolutely pounded for it. |
Everything Went Wrong for James Talarico This Week After His Epstein-Tied Backer Was Revealed

It’s been a tough week for Democrat U.S. Senate candidate James Talarico on the sexual abuse front, who is now battling with the public learning that his largest financial backer is listed in the Epstein files, is facing condemnation from an abuse victim’s family for lying, and is refusing to condemn a political ally who consorts with a sexual predator. Earlier today, it was revealed that Talarico had been receiving millions from billionaire Epstein-associated Reid Hoffman.
Hoffman was featured prominently in the Epstein files for making trips to Jeffrey Epstein’s island and to other Epstein residences, as well as exchanging gifts with Epstein with notes about “the girls.” According to FEC records, Hoffman has given more than $10 million to Talarico or PACs supporting the progressive candidate. Meanwhile, Talarico has gone as far as to claim that “the Epstein class has no place in Texas” in attempted smear attacks against his Republican opponent Ken Paxton despite being bank rolled by those very people. The family of the sexual assault victim that Talarico has attempted to politicize has come out to say that they are “tired of being used” after Talarico falsely claimed to be in contact. Talarico has used the case repeatedly on social media and in media hits as a means of accusing Paxton of producing a "Epstein-style sweetheart deal." When Talarico isn’t accepting money from Epstein-affiliated billionaires or lying about sexual assault victims, he is campaigning with the sexually deviant Democrat Bobby Pulido. Aside from his own numerous sexual scandals, Pulido was exposed for defending his pedophile bandmate who he brought on tour for years. Pulido attempted to downplay sexual violence against children by stating that the molestation of the youth “is not necessarily rape.” Pulido eventually brought the bandmate to a a fundraiser concert hosted at a middle school. Talarico has refused to condemn or rescind his endorsement of Pulido. "It is disgusting and shameful that James Talarico values Epstein-linked billionaire pedophiles more than child sex abuse victims,” RNC spokesman Zach Kraft told Townhall. “Unfortunately, the warning signs have always been there, and this only raises further questions about why Talarico texted his middle school students late at night about sexually explicit material." Talarico, a former middle school teacher, was noted for his baffling choice to have his students read from the sexually-explicit book, The Handmaid’s Tale, for a class assignment. He likewise provided his cell phone number and encouraged his students to text him. Talarico will take on Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton for control over the U.S. Senate seat in the most-watched race in the midterm cycle. |

Trump: China Stole 220 Million US Voter Files
President Donald Trump on Thursday declassified a trove of intelligence records that he said expose years of foreign interference and vulnerabilities in U.S. elections while ordering the Justice Department, FBI, CIA, and Office of the Director of National Intelligence to investigate what he described as a cover-up by intelligence officials. Speaking during a prime-time address from the White House, Trump said the newly released documents show China obtained the personal information of approximately 220 million American voters and that intelligence agencies suppressed information about the alleged breach from the White House and Congress. According to Trump, one set of declassified documents alleges the People's Republic of China carried out what he described as the largest compromise of election data in U.S. history beginning during the 2020 election cycle, obtaining voter files containing names, addresses, telephone numbers, and political affiliation data. He also alleged intelligence officials deliberately suppressed information about China's activities, including reports that Chinese efforts were intended to undermine his reelection campaign. Trump cited what he described as previously classified CIA and FBI records indicating Chinese officials sought to influence the 2018 midterm elections and the 2020 presidential election while intelligence analysts withheld related information from his daily presidential briefings. The president further said newly released intelligence assessments show U.S. officials have long known electronic voting systems and voter registration databases were vulnerable to cyberattacks by foreign adversaries, including China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea.
