Paris Olympics: Muslim Judo Competitor Refuses Handshake With Israeli, Breaks Down And Cries After 'Karmic' Outcome

Tajikistan’s Nurali Emomali receives medical treatment during the judo men’s -66kg quarter-final bout of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games at the Champ-de-Mars Arena, in Paris on July 28, 2024.

After defeating an Israeli opponent in judo at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, a judoka representing Tajikistan refused to shake his hand. However, this resulted in instant karma, as the Muslim competitor was defeated soon after and left in tears during the next match.

Additionally, in the men’s under-145-pound weight class, the same Israeli judoka, Baruch Shmailov, defeated Abderrahmane Boushita of Morocco in his debut fight, and Boushita refused to shake hands with him as well.

In the round of 16, Shmailov went up against Nurali Emomali of Tajikistan, according to the Times of Israel. After 1 minute and 17 seconds, the Israeli judoka stumbled and lost to Emomali.

Following his win, Emomali left the mat, refusing to shake the hand of the Israeli. Meanwhile, those in the vicinity of the fight went on social media platforms soon after to post that Emomali had yelled “Allahu Akbar” with one finger in the air shortly after beating him.

However, the wise proverb “pride comes before a fall,” played out almost perfectly in the next match.

After his win, the Associated Press reported that Emomali then proceeded to go against Japan’s Hifumi Abe, who left him in tears crying on the mat with a dislocated shoulder.

In the next men’s 66-kilogram final match, Abe won the gold after beating Willian Lima of Brazil.

Facebook Admits 'Accidental' Censorship In Historic Trump Photo After Assassination Attempt (Google is just as bad.)

OAN Staff Blake Wolf 11:55 AM – Monday, July 29, 2024
Republican presidential candidate former President Donald Trump is rushed offstage by U.S. Secret Service agents after being grazed by a bullet

Meta Platforms, Inc., the tech giant and parent company of Facebook and Instagram, admitted to “accidentally” censoring a historic photo of a bloodied Donald Trump with his fist in the air after a failed assassination attempt on July 13th came close to taking his life.

Facebook posts showcasing the historic image were initially flagged as “misinformation,” claiming that the image was altered. The explanation on the site accompanied with the flagging of the post stated, “Independent fact-checkers reviewed a similar photo and said it was altered in a way that could mislead people.”

Dani Lever, a spokesperson for Meta, made a statement on Monday claiming that the controversial fact check was indeed “an error.”

She went on to say that their systems were flagging a different doctored version of the photo that depicted Secret Service agents smiling, and because of the similarity between the two images, it happened to also flag the real photograph.

“This was an error. This fact check was initially applied to a doctored photo showing the secret service agents smiling, and in some cases our systems incorrectly applied that fact check to the real photo. This has been fixed and we apologize for the mistake,” Lever wrote on X (Twitter).

However, many popular X accounts weren’t buying Lever’s explanation, with one user writing: “Does the job of lying shill ever get old?”

“Yeah, NO ONE believes you,” another user stated.

Israeli Cabinet Meets for 6 Hours, Massive Strikes on Lebanon Imminent

Israeli Cabinet Meets for 6 Hours, Massive Strikes on Lebanon Imminent

Israel's security cabinet on Sunday authorized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government to decide on the "manner and timing" of a response to a rocket strike in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights that killed 12 teenagers and children, and which Israel and the United States blamed on Lebanese armed group Hezbollah.

Hezbollah denied responsibility for the attack on Majdal Shams on Saturday, the deadliest in Israel or Israeli-annexed territory since Palestinian militant group Hamas' Oct. 7 assault sparked the war in Gaza. That conflict has spread to several fronts and risks spilling into a wider regional conflict.

Israel has vowed retaliation against Hezbollah in Lebanon, and Israeli jets hit targets in southern Lebanon during the day on Sunday.

But there were expectations a stronger response could follow the security cabinet meeting convened by Netanyahu in Tel Aviv.

After the meeting ended, Netanyahu's office said the cabinet "authorized the Prime Minister and the Defense Minister to decide on the manner and timing of the response."

The White House on Sunday also blamed Hezbollah for the Majdal Shams strike. "This attack was conducted by Lebanese Hezbollah. It was their rocket, and launched from an area they control," it said in a statement.

U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential candidate, said through her national security adviser that her "support for Israel’s security is ironclad,"

The U.S. said Washington has been in discussions with Israeli and Lebanese counterparts since Saturday's "horrific" attack and that it was working on a diplomatic solution.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said Washington did not want further escalation of the conflict, which has seen daily exchanges of fire between the Israeli military and Hezbollah along the border.

Britain expressed concern at further escalation while Egypt said the attack could spill "into a comprehensive regional war."

On the ground, thousands of people gathered for funerals in the Druze village of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights, territory captured from Syria by Israel in the 1967 Middle East war and annexed in a move not recognized by most countries.

Members of the Druze faith, which is related to Islam, Christianity and Judaism, make up more than half the 40,000-strong population of the Golan Heights. Large crowds of mourners, many in traditional high white and red Druze headwear, surrounded the caskets as they were carried through the village.

"A heavy tragedy, a dark day has come to Majdal Shams," said Dolan Abu Saleh, head of the Majdal Shams local council, in comments broadcast on Israeli television.

Hezbollah initially announced it fired rockets at Israeli military sites in the Golan Heights, but said it had "absolutely nothing" to do with the attack on Majdal Shams.

ISRAEL SAYS ROCKET IRANIAN-MADE

However, Israel said the rocket was an Iranian-made missile fired from an area north of the village of Chebaa in southern Lebanon, placing the blame squarely on Iranian-backed Hezbollah.

It was not immediately clear if the children and teenagers killed were Israeli citizens.

"The rocket that murdered our boys and girls was an Iranian rocket and Hezbollah is the only terror organization which has those in its arsenal," Israel's foreign ministry said.

Two security sources told Reuters that Hezbollah was on high alert and had cleared some key sites in both Lebanon's south and the eastern Bekaa Valley in case of an Israeli attack.

Lebanon's Middle East Airlines said it was delaying the arrival of some flights from Sunday night to Monday morning, without stating why.

Israeli forces have been exchanging fire for months with Hezbollah fighters in southern Lebanon, but both sides have appeared to be avoiding an escalation that could lead to all-out war, potentially dragging in other powers including the United States and Iran.

However, Saturday's strike threatened to tip the standoff into a more dangerous phase. United Nations officials urged maximum restraint from both sides, warning that escalation could "engulf the entire region in a catastrophe beyond belief."

Lebanon has asked the U.S to urge restraint by Israel, Lebanon's foreign minister, Abdallah Bou Habib, told Reuters. Bou Habib said the U.S. had asked Lebanon's government to pass on a message to Hezbollah to show restraint as well.

ALL-OUT WAR FEARED

Iran's foreign ministry warned Israel on Sunday against what it called any new adventure in Lebanon.

Syria's foreign ministry said it held Israel "fully responsible for this dangerous escalation in the region" and said its accusations against Hezbollah were false.

The conflict has forced tens of thousands of people in both Lebanon and Israel to leave their homes. Israeli strikes have killed some 350 Hezbollah fighters in Lebanon and more than 100 civilians, including medics, children and journalists.

Hezbollah is the most powerful of a network of Iran-backed groups across the Middle East and opened a second front against Israel shortly after Hamas' Oct. 7 assault on Israel.

CNN's Scott Jennings Blows Up the Narrative of Former Harris Spokesperson in Mere Seconds

Willie Brown's Woman 😉

On Sunday's episode CNN's "State of the Union," co-hosted by Jake Tapper and Dana Bash, regular contributor Scott Jennings absolutely destroyed former Kamala Harris communications director Jamal Simmons's narrative of where he sees the Harris presidential campaign, in a matter of seconds.

It was not only a beautiful thing to see; it was also a textbook example of how to take it to Harris over the next roughly 100 days before the November 5 election.

The festivities kicked off with Tapper asking the now-CNN commentator Simmons to weigh in on where he thought "we" (the Harris campaign) are right now. That exchange went like this:

TAPPER: Where are we right now?

SIMMONS: Yes.

TAPPER:100 days.

SIMMONS: 100 days out. Listen, the campaign has got a lot to do.

TAPPER: She says she's the underdog. Is she?

Simmons jumped all over the "Kamala is the underdog" notion like a pig on an acorn.

I do— of course she's the underdog. First of all, she's— Donald Trump is still polling a couple of points ahead of her and in most polls is in the 48-49 range. She's in the 47-48 range. The campaign is literally building. Someone said this earlier. They're still using Joe Biden dot com email addresses over there, right? They're still figuring out how to get the talking points with the right language. So they've got, like, a lot of work to do to make this whole thing come together.

But the plane’s already in the air and the good news is that the people are sort of powering this thing. So you see, you know, 44,000 black women come out and then you see 170,000, almost, white women come out on another phone call and then you see African-American men and Latino— like, this thing is growing in a kind of organic way that I don't think many of us who were watching it expected that kind of energy.

There were multiple things going on in and behind Simmons's comments. Let's decipher.

First, the obvious. Simmons said "of course she's the underdog" not only as a message to the Harris faithful that they must work hard to overcome Trump's lead, but also with the knowledge of Biden's failed policies--and that a substantial percentage of the country views those failed policies as Biden-Harris, not just Biden. In other words, Harris is inextricably linked to those failed policies

House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA.) is among that "substantial percentage." Last Tuesday, Scalise took it a step further, calling Harris "the architect of Biden's failures":

Now, it begs the question, let's look at Kamala Harris' record as vice president. She's still the sitting vice president, but she's also been the architect of many of President Biden's worst failures, not the least of which is her main responsibility that she's been given in three and a half years: that is the job of border czar.

[...]

She said many times that the border is secure. Everybody in America knows that's a lie. Kamala Harris has been responsible for this epic failure. In fact, she's called for open borders. What else has she called for?

Scalise, joined by Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), House Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-Minn.), Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.), and Congressman Nick Langworthy (R-N.Y.) continued, including Harris' pledge to ban fracking, "raising money for the Minnesota Freedom Fund when radicals were out, protesting and ultimately getting arrested, attacking cops, doing other things," and "embracing the defund police movement."

With all of the above in mind, this takes us to Scott Jennings blowing up Simmons's narrative in an instant:

They're still using Joe Biden dot com emails because there's still using Joe Biden dot com policies over there. 65% of the American people disapprove of these policies. She's never going to be able to shake off Joe Biden dot com whether they have the emails or not, and the only thing you're celebrating this week is some amount of base consolidation. But if you look at where Donald Trump is today versus where he was in 2020: underdog? Yeah, that’s one way to look at it.

Game over. Jennings with the blowout.

Kamala Harris enters the race, between a rock and a hard place. On one hand, she talks often about how proud she is of Joe  Biden and working closely with him on his (their) "accomplishments."

On the other hand, Harris and her campaign staff know she must also work to separate herself from what most voters view as Biden's miserably failed policies, not only the illegal alien crisis but also Bidenomics, Bidenflation, stubbornly high prices, and a host of issues.

Those other issues include writing blank checks to Ukraine, and throwing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu under the bus as the Jewish state continues its war against Hamas.

As I suggested earlier, if Donald Trump and the Republican Party do what Scott Jennings did to Jamal Simmons, and keep Harris on her heels, November 5 might be "a beautiful thing," as Trump likes to say.

DeSantis Brings Reality Check to Media Over Kamala Lovefest: She's 'Vapid,' 'Owns' All Biden's Policies

Ron DeSantis appeared on "Sunday Morning Futures" with Maria Bartiromo and was not shy about sharing his thoughts regarding the corporate media's endless fawning over Vice President Kamala Harris after she officially became a candidate and the likely Democrat presidential nominee.

Expect most of the corrupt press to outright lie to us for the next 100 days, he warned, and completely ignore Kamala's terrible record, her nonsensical statements, and her support for President Biden's destructive policies, which have negatively affected such a broad swath of the American people.

He didn't hold back:

...what you see is all the arteries of the left, the corporate media, Hollywood, academia—they're using all the king's horses and all the king's men to try to put the Democratic Party back together again [after Biden stepped out of the race].

And they have to whitewash Harris' background to be able to make her palpable to the American people—but I think we've all seen her.

I mean, she's incredibly vapid, even more incredibly liberal, and she doesn't have any accomplishments.

Remind me not to get on his bad side.

DeSantis was far from done, saying that it's going to be a long 100 days of media lies:

In fact, she [Kamala] owns all the policies of the Biden-Harris administration. She owns the border. She owns the inflation. She was there cheerleading that every day for the last three and a half years.

So I don't think it's gonna work, but make no mistake about it, you are in for 100 days of massive gaslighting from the corporate press... They're whitewashing things from her past—that's gonna continue, and they're gonna try to pull the wool over the eyes of the American people.

He's right: Harris participated in one of the great cover-ups of our time—the effort to tell the people that Biden was as "sharp as a tack" when he was clearly declining mentally right in front of our eyes—and she gave her full-throated support to the laughably named Inflation Reduction Act, which just threw trillions at pet leftist causes and led to even more inflation. Despite the press trying to say she was never named "Border Czar," the receipts are there, and we've been bringing them to you. She was given the task of protecting our border, and she failed miserably. The humanitarian disaster allowed to unfold under their regime has created unprecedented safety concerns for the U.S.

The Florida governor also spoke about the success of the Sunshine State under his watch, as well as the failures of the Secret Service in allowing a would-be assassin to come within millimeters of killing GOP nominee Donald Trump. It's worth watching the full clip.

DeSantis may not have won the Republican nomination this time around, but he continues to be a strong voice for conservative values, and his future looks very bright indeed.

Potential Harris VP Pick Has Ties to Chinese Spy Balloon Company

A potential pick for Kamala Harris’ vice president has ties to a Chinese spy balloon company, putting him in the spotlight for possible ties to the Communist Party.

Democrat Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ)

Who is Sen. Mark Kelly, a possible Kamala Harris VP pick and husband to Gabby Giffords? - ABC11 Raleigh-Durham

co-founded a company that manufactures spy balloons, much like the one that was floating across the United States last year.

Kelly's Tucson-based company, World View, was funded by Tencent, a venture capitalist closely linked to the CCP. World View specializes in space tourism using spy balloons, which received funding from Tencent in 2013 and again in 2016.

In 2020, World View president and CEO Ryan Hartman told The Arizona Republic that the venture capitalist has “zero access, zero input, and zero control" over the company.

Tencent and World View reportedly have an agreement with the U.S. government to provide aerial surveillance using their balloons.

According to Vision Times, Tencent established its first CCP branch five years after the company was founded. It holds “Party Member Day every year when CCP members working at the company’s offices “celebrate the achievements of the communist party.”

Taiwan News claims that Tencent follows a “party members first” rule when hiring new employees.

The CCP-based company collects data from its mobile app, WeChat, a well-known social media platform in China. WeChat is used as a surveillance tool for the Chinese government, which regulates Tencent and reportedly suppresses opposing views.

However, the current leadership of Tencent said it was a mistake for the company to accept a Chinese investment.

“When new leadership arrived in 2019 and learned of that investment, they swiftly moved to ensure World View was protected from any and all involvement from representatives of Chinese investors,” a spokesperson said.

In 2019, Kelly left the company to focus on his political career. The spokesperson said that any leftover financial interest the senator has in the company is securely stored away in a blind trust. They also confirmed that Kelly surrendered his assets and control of the company before leaving.

New Text Messages Reveal Another Troubling Update on Trump Assassination Attempt

Two words describe the security situation at the Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13: hot mess. There are so many glaring flaws, and the ground is so inexcusable that it is fertile for conspiracy theorists. Can you blame them? The Secret Service is stonewalling and stacking sandbags amid intense scrutiny from lawmakers from both parties.

We don’t know if would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks was a lone gunman. How many casings were recovered from the roof? We don’t know. What we do know is that no one at the Secret Service has been disciplined for this calamity, and now text messages obtained by The New York Times show that snipers knew about Crooks earlier than initially reported. It provides yet another damning update on the assassination attempt that nearly killed a former president. Crooks missed delivering a fatal headshot by millimeters [emphasis mine]:

BREAKING: Leaked messages between countersn*pers reveal they were aware of Thomas Crooks about 90 minutes before Trump was nearly assas*inated.

One of the countersn*pers was reportedly leaving at the end of his shift when he noticed Crooks.

“Someone followed our lead and snuck… pic.twitter.com/bma8Pjfnye

— Collin Rugg (@CollinRugg) July 29, 2024

Nearly 100 minutes before former President Donald J. Trump took the stage in Butler, Pa., a local countersniper who was part of the broader security detail let his colleagues know his shift was ending.

“Guys I am out. Be safe,” he texted to a group of colleagues at 4:19 p.m. on July 13. He exited the second floor of a warehouse that overlooked the campaign rally site, leaving two other countersnipers behind.

Outside, the officer noticed a young man with long stringy hair sitting on a picnic table near the warehouse. So at 4:26 p.m., he texted his colleagues about the man, who was outside the fenced area of the Butler Fair Show grounds where Mr. Trump was to appear. He said that the person would have seen him come out with his rifle and “knows you guys are up there.”

The countersniper who sent the texts confirmed to The New York Times that the individual he saw was later identified as the gunman.

By 5:10 p.m., the young man was no longer on the picnic table. He was right below the countersnipers, who were upstairs in a warehouse owned by AGR International. One of the countersnipers took pictures of him, according to a law enforcement after-action report, which along with the texts from the Beaver County Emergency Services Unit was provided to The Times by the office of Senator Charles E. Grassley, Republican of Iowa. The text messages were independently verified by The Times.

At 5:38 p.m., the photos were shared in a group chat, and another text went out among the officers, saying they should inform the Secret Service. “Kid learning around building we are in. AGR I believe it is. I did see him with a range finder looking towards stage. FYI. If you wanna notify SS snipers to look out. I lost sight of him.”

[…]

Taken together, the text messages provide the most detailed picture yet of the hours before the assassination attempt. They reveal that the gunman, later identified as Thomas Crooks, 20, of Bethel Park, Pa., aroused police suspicion more than 90 minutes before the shooting, rather than about 60 minutes, as has been previously discussed in congressional hearings.

The messages also add to the evidence that the would-be assassin was often one step ahead of security forces, and in particular the Secret Service.

The lengthy article details Crooks’ activities that we know thus far, including packages delivered to his home, where some materials were used to build a couple of makeshift explosive devices. Two were discovered in the van at the rally site, and another was found inside the residence. He scoped the rally site before the Secret Service did their walkthrough on July 8 and used a drone to conduct aerial surveillance. The Secret Service opted not to deploy one during the rally. The American Glass Research rooftop was excluded from the agency’s “inner security perimeter.” Who was tasked with covering this glaring security vulnerability remains to be verified. We know that no personnel were on the rooftop less than 200 yards, with a clear line of sight, to Mr. Trump on the rally stage.

There were reports that Secret Service snipers had their sights on Crooks for two minutes before he opened fire, but this timeline changes the narrative again. Local SWAT teams told ABC News they had photos and details about Crooks, relaying the information that apparently never got the attention required, a damning indictment of the seemingly ramshackle communications system deployed that day.

ABC NEWS: Trump rally SWAT team "found that there were no patrol officers around the area to try and intercept the suspect."

What is going on?!pic.twitter.com/XOCUeIrEkO

— Breaking911 (@Breaking911) July 28, 2024

The team took responsibility for the shooting, which injured Trump and left one man, Corey Comperatore, dead, along with two others injured.

How local law enforcement was deployed is another puzzling piece to this fiasco. Crooks was able to essentially roam at will; the only police who encountered him were cops who left their duties directing traffic:

Mr. Crooks did something that alarmed the police. They saw him using the range finder.

A Beaver County countersniper shared two photos of Mr. Crooks with his colleagues at 5:38 p.m., which were then relayed to the Secret Service, through a series of steps in the command center.

One of the two remaining countersnipers “ran out of the building attempting to keep eyes on Crooks until other law enforcement arrived,” according to a statement by Richard Goldinger, the Butler County district attorney, who supervises some of the law enforcement units.

But Mr. Crooks ran off, taking a backpack with him, Mr. Goldinger said. When the officer was unable to find Mr. Crooks, he returned to his post.

Four Butler Township police officers who had been directing traffic joined the manhunt.

At 6 p.m., one officer in the group texts guessed that Mr. Crooks was moving toward the back of the complex of AGR buildings, “away from the event.” Instead, Mr. Crooks clambered onto the low-slung building in the complex closest to the stage.

Mr. Trump took the podium at 6:03 p.m., to a roaring crowd.

Around this time was also when onlookers noticed Crooks on the roof before shots were fired. The Secret Service reportedly knew around this time, ten minutes before he took the stage, that there was a threat against Mr. Trump. They did nothing, not even telling the former president, who said he would have waited until everything was okay.

There were mountains of questions about the security flaws at this rally. Now, there are more, with an agency being the very definition of uncooperative.
