The Washington Post's Editorial Board Just Decimated Kamala Harris

Vice President Kamala Harris’ plan to avoid the media because her team laughably thinks that no one pays attention to significant networks or prominent newspapers isn’t going to last. Yes, media is an ever-changing landscape, but solely focusing on TikTok and social media is a surefire way to lose an election. People need to hear ideas and policies that will help them, and Kamala hasn’t offered much. What she has provided is a throwback to Soviet Russia.

It’s a window into why her team keeps her from press conferences. The latest pitch to curb inflation is to stomp out price-gouging, which is such pie-in-the-sky nonsense that it almost makes you wonder if Harris qualifies for this office. She’s not—you know that, but that’s not the point: what the hell is this campaign other than showing that Democrats have a black woman running after wresting the nomination from Joe Biden? Catherine Rampell trashed Harris, and now the editorial board writ large is body-slamming her, calling her candidacy gimmicky:

Americans are clearly still anxious and angry about the high cost of groceries, housing and even $5.29 Big Macs. While the inflation rate has cooled substantially since the 2022 peak, an ostensible Biden-Harris administration accomplishment, prices remain elevated relative to the Trump years. So it’s a real political issue for Ms. Harris. One way to handle it might be to level with voters, telling them that inflation spiked in 2021 mainly because the pandemic snarled supply chains, and that the Federal Reserve’s policies, which the Biden-Harris administration supported, are working to slow it. The vice president instead opted for a less forthright route: Blaming big business. She vowed to go after “price gouging” by grocery stores, landlords, pharmaceutical companies and other supposed corporate perpetrators by having the Federal Trade Commission enforce a vaguely defined “federal ban on price gouging.”

Never mind that many stores are currently slashing prices in response to renewed consumer bargain hunting. Ms. Harris says she’ll target companies that make “excessive” profits, whatever that means…

[…]

Her ideas would cost money, yet she insisted in her speech that she would hold to President Joe Biden’s pledge not to raise taxes on any household earning $400,000 or less annually. That excludes 80 percent of taxable income, and does not take into account the recent surge in families earning over $400,000. The Harris campaign says it plans to raise revenue to cover these costs but did not provide specific offsets in its economic plan rollout. Without them, Ms. Harris’s full plan would add $1.7 trillion to federal deficits over a decade, according to the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, a nonpartisan budget watchdog.

To be sure, every campaign makes expensive promises that will never come to pass, especially with a divided Congress. Remember Mr. Biden’s pledge to make community college free? Even adjusted for the pandering standards of campaign economics, however, Ms. Harris’s speech Friday ranks as a disappointment.

In short, the paper said her speech sucked, and it did.

“Ms. Harris is on firmest ground when she advocates increasing the child tax credit from the current level of $2,000 per kid up to $3,600 per kid for middle-class and low-income families, and for making it easier for those lower on the income scale to access the benefit,” wrote the editorial board. Are they aware that JD Vance is proposing raising the child tax credit to $5,000?

Up until this cockamamie price-gouging plan, along with making housing more expensive, Harris has been stealing Trump’s ideas, starting with the no tax on tips.

Harris hasn’t gotten smarter since she took the president's nomination away. She’s still a vapid, uneven, and awkward political creature who got her because the Democratic Party is engulfed in identity politics. That addiction has led to this entire administration selecting unqualified and sub-par administrators and cabinet secretaries, wrecking the country.

Here's What Got Taylor Lorenz Into Hot Water at the Washington Post

Washington Post investigating Taylor Lorenz for post calling Biden 'war criminal'

Taylor Lorenz, the controversial reporter at The Washington Post, is in serious trouble. You might have seen a certain photo of her masked up, taking a selfie with Biden in the background with the caption “war criminal.” She tried to mock those who exposed this nasty post, claiming it to be misinformation, an edited photo. There’s one problem: it’s not. Now, senior editors at the paper are deciding what to do next. Even NPR reported on this:

The Post’s Taylor Lorenz attended a White House event for digital influencers on Wednesday. In the photo she shared with a circle of friends on Instagram, Biden appears over her shoulder; the damning caption rests just below him, accompanied by a text frowny face.

After the New York Post’s Jon Levine — a frequent critic of hers — revealed the Instagram photo caption yesterday in a tweet, Lorenz wrote back at him: “You people will fall for any dumbass edit someone makes.”

A fact-check appended to Levine’s tweet cited her apparent denial. (The contextual note to the tweet says, “Taylor Lorenz says this is a digital manipulation which has added a false caption.”) Lorenz told her editors that someone else had added the caption to the photo.

NPR has obtained a screengrab of Lorenz’s actual post, which contained that caption. It was not shared with her wider Instagram audience of 143,000 followers.

Four people with direct knowledge of the private Instagram story confirmed its authenticity to NPR. They spoke to NPR on condition they not be identified due to the professional sensitivity of the situation for Lorenz.

“Our executive editor and senior editors take alleged violations of our standards seriously,” a spokesperson for the newspaper told NPR. “We’re aware of the alleged post and are looking into it.” Lorenz declined to comment.

What a disaster for Lorenz, but she’s earned it. Do you think the publication will let her go?

No because she's a stupid democrat 😂

A Boeing 737 nicknamed “Trump Force Two” that was carrying Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance (R-Ohio) was forced to make an emergency landing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Friday following a “malfunction” during the flight.

The plane was reportedly experiencing issues with its door seal.

“The pilot advised there was a malfunction with the door seal. After declaring an emergency, Trump Force Two returned to Milwaukee,” stated Trump spokeswoman Taylor Van Kirk. “As soon as the issue was resolved, the plane returned to its originally planned flight path back to Cincinnati.”

The recent JD Vance landing follows another recent emergency landing of former President Donald Trump’s other Boeing plane, “Trump Force One,” which occurred a week ago in Montana due to “technical issues.”

Vance was accompanied by his wife, Usha, along with his German Shepherd dog Atlas, members of the Secret Service, and members of the press.

“Atlas had a great time on the campaign trail today, and unlike Kamala, enjoyed meeting the press on the plane!” said Kirk.

Asher Heimermann, a photojournalist who was present during the landing, reported that the Milwaukee County Fire Department arrived on the scene, inspected the aircraft, and then the aircraft departed to its original destination.

The “Trump Force Two” plane has been utilized to transport Vance to-and-from 2024 campaign events.

24 State Attorneys General Support Arizona's Law Requiring Proof Of Citizenship To Vote

WASHINGTON, DC - JULY 30: Passing storm clouds are seen over the U.S. Supreme Court on July 30, 2024 in Washington, DC. Passing storm clouds are seen over the U.S. Supreme Court

A coalition of 24 attorneys general (AG) filed an amicus brief with the U.S. Supreme Court, supporting an Arizona law requiring U.S. citizenship to vote.

The filing requests the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) for an emergency stay of a federal district court’s injunction against the law.

“The Constitution gives states the power to set voter qualifications, and AZ is leading the charge to ensure ONLY CITIZENS vote in our elections,” The Arizona GOP wrote in an X post. “This case has the potential to prevent non-citizen voting once and for all, which should have been the case all along.”

The brief also follows a Federal district court ruling on an Arizona law which requires citizens to provide proof of citizenship in order to be allowed voting access.

The federal ruling claimed that the Federal National Voter Registration Act preempts the Arizona law, which does not require proof of citizenship in order to vote.

“The Biden-Harris Administration has intentionally flooded our country with illegal aliens. Without proper safeguards, foreign nationals can and will illegally influence elections at the local, state, and national level,” said Texas attorney General Ken Paxton. “The States have a constitutional right and responsibility to ensure that only legal votes from American citizens are counted. I hope the Supreme Court recognizes the urgency of this situation and movies to protect our national elections. Lawmakers in Texas must also make every effort to secure our elections and prevent noncitizens from voting. I urge them in the next legislative session to prioritize election integrity in Texas after millions of illegal aliens entered the state under the Biden-Harris Administration.”

The brief is supported by attorneys general in Texas, Florida, Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Georgia, Idaho, Iowa, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, and Virginia, along with the original filers of the brief, Kansas and West Virginia.

“There is every reason to believe this problem of non-citizen voting has gotten worse, as the number of aliens in the United States has undeniably grown. One study suggests there were over 11 million illegal aliens in the country in 2019,” The Republican National Committee stated. “Each of those aliens represents another possible opening for voter fraud, for each represents a probability — no matter how small — that they will vote illegally. Add to that the other possible sources of noncitizen voting — such as aliens here legally but who cannot vote or who have overstayed their visas — and the magnitude of the problem becomes clear.”

Trump: I Get Personal Because of What Kamala's Done to US

Trump: I Get Personal Because of What Kamala's Done to US

Former President Donald Trump said Thursday he has focused his campaign on personal attacks against Vice President Kamala Harris, his Democrat opponent, because he is angry about what she has done to the country and how she and the Biden administration have weaponized the justice system against him.

Trump spoke during a news conference, which aired live on Newsmax and simulcast on the Newsmax2 online streaming platform, at his Bedminster, New Jersey, golf club. It was his second news conference in a week as he seeks to make himself more available to the media than Harris, who has yet to hold an informal news conference or give a media interview since replacing President Joe Biden at the top of the Democrat ticket last month.

"As far as the personal attacks, I'm very angry at her because of what she's done to the country," Trump said when asked about GOP allies who've pressed him to temper his more personal attacks in favor of a more disciplined and issue-focused message.

"I'm very angry at her that she's weaponized the justice system against me and other people," he said. "Very angry at her. I think I'm entitled to personal attacks. I don't have a lot of respect for her. I don't have a lot of respect for her intelligence, and I think she will be a terrible president. And I think it's very important that we win. And whether the personal attacks are good or bad, I mean, she certainly attacks me personally.

"Think of it, they don't want me to be a little bit nasty. They want to put me in prison. Me. They want to put me [in prison]. It's never happened before in the history of our country. It's happened in third-world countries, but it's never happened here. And they're in danger because you create a precedent for doing that. And once that happens, that's a really bad thing."

Trump said he and Republicans have taken a lot of abuse from Democrats and the mainstream media, even though all he wants is what is best for the country.

"With all of the abuse we have taken from the fake news media, all of this horrific abuse we take, and all I want to do is make the country great, all I want to do is have strong borders and good education," he said. "We want to have choice for education. So important, so many different things. You would think it would be the other way [around]. We rebuilt the military. We did so many great things, but that's the way it's been for Republicans, and I guess more so for me than anybody in history.

"And that's OK because we're leading in the polls, for the most part. We were leading Biden by a lot. But I think when she's exposed, I think we're going to beat her by a lot more than we would have beaten Biden by because he had a little group of people that had been voting for him for a long time. She doesn't have that. People don't know who she is."

Biden/Harris Maryland Event Has Embarrassing Moment When Dozens of People Walk Out

Article by  Nick Arama

I wrote earlier about the remarks about the economy that both Kamala Harris and Joe Biden made at an event in Maryland.

Harris disqualified herself with ignorant comments, not understanding or perhaps caring that overspending makes inflation worse. She talks about what she would do if she was elected on "day one" -- despite being in power now and not only not solving the problem but making things worse with bad policy. She also praised the "extraordinary Joe Biden."

Meanwhile, Biden couldn't even get her name right, and his brain broke at least a couple of times during his remarks. He also used threatening language against the GOP, saying we are going to "beat the hell out of them." Where is the media to condemn his violence, a little over a month since the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump?

Cringeworthy Kamala Disqualifies Herself With Tone-Deaf Remarks on Economy

Biden Snaps at Reporters As Doocy Nails Him With Report Kamala Will Distance Herself From Him on Economy

But there was another embarrassing moment during the event.

Shortly after Vice President Kamala Harris handed over the podium to President Biden on Thursday, dozens of attendees at a joint event simply stood up and left rather than listen to the retiring commander-in-chief.

The rude demonstration was a stark showing of the enthusiasm gap among Democrats revved up by Harris’ sudden elevation as the party’s presidential nominee after Biden dropped out last month — amid reporting that Harris, 59, is seeking to redefine herself to gain distance from the unpopular incumbent.

Adding insult to injury, when Biden, who regularly suffered low attendance at his own election rallies this year, and Harris greeted an overflow room, he was accused by multiple irate protesters of facilitating “genocide” in the Gaza Strip.

So not only did a bunch of people walk out, but Biden got nailed by protesters among the people they chose to greet afterward. Not a good look for the Biden-Harris team. That shows you how little even Democrats think about "sharp as a tack" Joe Biden at this point. I'm thinking that's good evidence that he's probably not making it onto Mount Rushmore any time soon despite whatever Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) says.

Then, on top of that, there were only about 2,300 people reportedly at the event, and that's according to the White House. That's what happens when you don't attach a musician to your rally to help pump up the numbers to look like more people are interested. More than Biden would normally get, but nowhere near Trump numbers. No wonder they're freaking out at the massive Spaces event Trump had with Elon Musk on X. Trump gets far more than 2,300 at virtually any rally he holds. So for Harris, not a big draw at this event.

Democrats can spin all the hype they want, but the economy is the top issue for most people, and Harris, even if she tries, is not going to be able to divorce herself from the failures of which she was a part.

Kamala Harris Is Fast-Tracking Citizenship Applications in an Attempt to 'Reshape the Electorate'

The Biden-Harris administration is granting citizenship to immigrants at speeds not seen in over a decade while a wholly disinterested mainstream media is doing little more than bragging about it.

There was a time in this country when journalists would find stealing an election a topic of interest. A threat to democracy, even.

Instead, the New York Times recently published a glowing report indicating that over the first nine months of the fiscal year, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USIS) is averaging under five months to process naturalization applications.

That process took almost exactly a year on average in 2021. What could possibly be happening in 2024 that would cause the administration to view the process of turning an immigrant into a citizen with the right to vote with such urgency?

While the answer to that seems glaringly obvious, Xiao Wang, chief executive of Boundless, a company that offers services to immigrants seeking help with the naturalization process, makes it even more clear.

"The surge in naturalization efficiency isn’t just about clearing backlogs; it’s potentially reshaping the electorate, merely months before a pivotal election," Wang admits. "Every citizenship application could be a vote that decides Senate seats or even the presidency."

That’s not subtle. At all. "Reshaping the electorate" has always been the goal of this administration. It was the only way Biden was going to win in 2024. Now, it might be the only way to drag Harris across the finish line come November.

Though the Times makes no attempt to discern between legal and illegal immigrants in their report, they point out those being fast-tracked through processing to grant them voting rights “historically leaned Democratic.”

The Washington Post followed up the Times’ work by pointing out that “the government has increased resources to grant citizenship to qualified applicants on an expedited timeline.”

This, the Post contends, is okay because the number of newly processed citizens “pales next to the number of deaths and new seniors in the states.”

The Times doesn’t expressly state just how many of these freshly minted voters courtesy of the administration would affect voting in swing states. Still, they confess such battleground contests “have large and growing numbers of voting-age naturalized citizens, including Georgia, Arizona, Nevada and Pennsylvania.”

This has been the playbook from Kamala Harris from the beginning. Harris, we now know, was essentially running the country while President Biden was mentally incapable of doing so.

She strategically landed the title of border czar (you know, before the media rewrote history on that matter) and proceeded to open up the floodgates to illegals.

Harris’ mindset was exposed on her 2019 campaign website which linked to a study touting the “electoral implications” of not deporting some illegal immigrants.

Those individuals, the campaign wrote, “could provide sizable contributions to the margin of victory in swing states."

Again, it’s not subtle. The effort to use immigrants to sway elections (in 2022 and 2024) has been a hallmark of the Biden-Harris administration. Their urgency has increased exponentially when it became clear Donald Trump was leading not just national surveys, but nearly every swing state poll as well.

Their desperation has been on full display.

Biden and Harris in 2022 installed a de facto amnesty program in which 200,000 deportation cases were simply thrown out due to Homeland Security’s failure to file the proper paperwork in time.

The administration “unilaterally” paroled over a million illegal immigrants using a 1950s law in an "unprecedented" way.

Biden and Harris announced a new mass amnesty policy in June that would shield half a million illegal immigrants from deportation.

Now they are pushing citizenship at a record pace, hoping to use new citizens that "historically lean Democrat" to boost Harris’s election prospects.

Over 3.3 million immigrants have become naturalized citizens since the two entered the White House.

It is, without a doubt, an active attempt at “reshaping the electorate” in a way that could alter the outcome of the 2024 election.
