Media Bias 101: It’s Different When Democrats Do It

I realized something the other day about media bias that I’d been aware of for a long time, but never really connected all the dots on it before – these people aren’t trying to win anyone to their side, they’re simply lying to keep their claws deep into the people they’ve already made ignorant.

I’ve known it, but hadn’t thought about it in a while and not in such obvious terms. What set me off? Remember the Weeble? Brian Stelter,

CNN saga: What network chaos means for liberal media correspondent Brian Stelter | Fox News

the fired CNN personality who lacks personality, or any self-awareness, honestly.

Stelter tweeted Friday, “Pirro said Harris was ‘being hidden’ two hours after Harris gave a nationally televised speech full of economic proposals.” The Potato was referencing that Jeanine Pirro had said Kamala Harris was being hidden from the press by her campaign, and she was; she still is. Giving a speech where you, as vaguely as humanly possible, outline insane ideas and ridiculous policies is not “putting yourself out there.”

Kamala Harris has denounced pretty much every policy position she’s ever taken and refused to answer any questions on any of it, even from sycophantic media. Surely Stelter knows this. Then why would he say something so wildly stupid? The answer exposes why they all do.

When Harris announced her support of eliminating taxes on tips – an idea Donald Trump has been trumpeting for months – CBS News wrote it up on its merits, with an exploration of the “costs” at the very end. Otherwise, the focus was on the proposal and contained a lot of quotes from Harris’ speech.

Weirdly, when Trump originally proposed the idea in June, CBS News headlined it, “Trump proposal to exempt tips from taxes could cost $250 billion.”

Allowing people to keep more of what they earn is not a “cost” to government, and tax cuts lead to more revenue, but the framing in the story was all about how it was a bad, unworkable idea. The exact opposite of the story after Harris stole the idea.

Then, once Kamala stole another policy proposal from the Trump-Vance campaign – the expansion of the child tax credit – CNBC did the exact same thing. When VP nominee JD Vance brought it up, the CNBC headline was, “Vance wants to raise the child tax credit to $5,000. Here’s why that could be difficult.”

Curiously, when Harris ripped off the idea, CNBC used the headline, “Harris calls for expanded child tax credit of up to $6,000 for families with newborns.” Why is it not “difficult” for Harris? She’s proposing $1,000 more, yet it’s not a big deal.

With the Stelter tweet, those dots connect in a way that exposes how the left works, especially in media. These people are not naïve or unaware of what they’re doing, they’re only interested and capable of preaching to the choir. Their sole goal is to keep the audience they have ignorant, not expand it at all.

The left no longer has any interest in winning people to their side, they look to win by turning out an ignorant base in large numbers then flooding the zone with illegal aliens turned into citizens and create the new voters they need that way. As long as their ignorant base doesn’t realize they’re being conned before the reinforcements show up, they’ll be fine. If they do, the whole house of cards collapses.

How else to explain outlets like CBS News and CNBC being willing to blatantly expose their biases? And how else to explain Stelter’s willingness to say something so stupid to his followers? Even prostitutes have more dignity.

The left-wing industrial complex exists now to keep the voters they have in line, on the progressive thought plantation, period. It’s not about convincing people to their side, winning people over, it’s about corralling the voters they have and making sure they show up to vote.

That’s why they don’t debate, that’s why MSNBC never has a dissenting voice anywhere near its airwaves. It’s why Kamala Harris isn’t doing interviews – what she thinks is irrelevant and making the case to undecided voters does not matter. Power, the acquisition of which and its retention, are all that matters to the left. Once they get it, they never plan to let it go. Then, and only then, will they show the world what they really are by pushing their agenda into law. By that time, it’ll be too late to do anything about it.

Democrats are not stupid, they’re evil. That some of that evil they do is accompanied by a seemingly harmless press pass or a doofus shaped like a Weeble doesn’t make it any less so.

Businesses Aren't Take Any Chances During the DNC. Here's What Downtown Chicago Looks Like.

It's starting to look like 2020 in Chicago, as downtown businesses are preparing for next week’s Democratic National Convention by boarding up their storefronts.

Thousands of pro-Hamas protesters and other activists are expected to descend on the city and store owners, many of whom have experience with past looters, are attempting to minimize the risk to their stores during the convention.

Scott Schapiro, who owns the Syd Jerome menswear shop on Clark Street, said he wasn’t taking any chances during this convention — where thousands of protesters are expected — since his store has been looted by vandals four separate times in the past.

“You get that phone call in the middle of the night and your heart jumps out of your chest,” he told the outlet.

“We want to sleep a little more soundly at night, and this gives us a little security, and we hope that there isn’t any incident obviously, but in the event there is, we want to have maximum protection,” Schapiro explained.

Schapiro said the store will remain open but the boards will stay up for the duration of the DNC, which runs from Aug. 19 to Aug. 22. He said he won’t hesitate to temporarily close his shop at the first sign of trouble.

“It’s better to be safe than sorry,” he said. “Most retailers are eternal optimists. They always think tomorrow is going to be better than today, and you always hope for the best, but it doesn’t always work out that way.” (New York Post)

has dismissed fears that the 2024 Democratic National Convention could end up mirroring the 1968 convention.

“I feel pretty good about the situation, and obviously the only apprehension is have we allocated enough space, is there enough protection in certain parts of the city,” he told NBC Chicago, reports the New York Post.

X Says Operations In Brazil Will Be Closing Due To Judge’s Orders

Alexandre de Moraes: Brazil judge in feud with Elon Musk

Democrat Party Copy Cat Alexandre de Moraes wants to shut down free speech.

Media platform X announced on Saturday that it would “effectively immediately” close operations in Brazil following Brazilian judge Alexandre de Moraes’ “censorship orders.”

Elon Musk’s company X has claimed that Moraes threatened to arrest one of the company’s legal representatives in the South American nation if it disobeyed court orders to remove certain content from its platform.

X posted pictures of a document allegedly signed by Moraes that says a daily fine of $3,653 and an arrest decree would be imposed against X representative Rachel Nova Conceicao if the platform did not fully comply with Moraes’ orders.

“To protect the safety of our staff, we have made the decision to close our operation in Brazil, effective immediately,” X said.

Earlier this year, after Musk declared he would reactivate X accounts that the judge had ordered be blocked, Moraes launched an investigation into the billionaire. Moraes’ choices regarding X have been referred to by Musk as “unconstitutional.”

Following Musk’s challenges, X representatives changed their minds and informed the Supreme Court of Brazil that the massive social media company would abide by the court’s decisions.

Attorneys for X in Brazil testified before the Supreme Court in April that “operational faults” had permitted users to continue using the social media site after they were ordered to be blocked.

This was in response to Moraes’ request for an explanation of X’s alleged failure to fully comply with his rulings.

In posts on X on Saturday, Musk called Moraes an “utter disgrace to justice” and said the company could not have agreed to the judge’s “secret censorship and private information handover demands.”

Elon Musk, J.K. Rowling Named In Cyberbullying Lawsuit Filed By Olympic Boxer Imane Khelif

J.K. Rowling and Elon Musk have been named in a lawsuit filed by controversial Olympic boxer Imane Khelif.

Khelif’s lawyer, Nabil Boudi, announced on Wednesday that they had sent a criminal complaint to the Paris public prosecutor’s office on August 9th regarding alleged “acts of cyber-harassment.”

According to Variety, the lawsuit was brought against X. Under French law, it means it was filed against unknown persons.

The lawsuit states that, “misogynistic, racist, and sexist” cyberbullies targeted the 25-year-old.

“That ensures that the prosecution has all the latitude to be able to investigate all people, including those who may have written hateful messages under pseudonyms,” Boudi said.

The lawyer added that the complaint mentioned other famous figures too.

“JK Rowling and Elon Musk are named in the lawsuit, among others,” he said, adding that Donald Trump could also be part of the investigation.

“Trump tweeted, so whether or not he is named in our lawsuit, he will inevitably be looked into as part of the prosecution,” he continued.

During her Olympic career, Khelif became Algeria’s first female 😂gold medalist in boxing and its first boxer to win an Olympic gold medal overall since 1996.

When it was revealed that Khelif had failed the International Boxing Association’s (IBA) gender eligibility test, she 😂was disqualified from competing in the 2023 Boxing World Championships, raising questions about her gender.

However, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has disputed this test, and before the Paris events, it stripped the IBA of recognition as boxing’s governing body and expelled it from the Olympics over issues including corruption, financial transparency, and governance.

Khelif was born a female and has never claimed to be intersex or transgender. “Scientifically, this is not a man fighting a woman,” the IOC declared, indicating her gender.

After Italian boxer Angela Carini pulled out of her 66 kg boxing competition match against Khelif after just 46 seconds, saying, “I have never felt a punch like this,” the issue gained national attention.

Rowling posted on X after the fight, calling the boxer a “male who knows he’s protected.”

“The smirk of a male who knows he’s protected by a misogynist sporting establishment enjoying the distress of a woman he’s just punched in the head, and whose life’s ambition he’s just shattered,” she stated.👍

In another post, the author said, “I don’t claim Khelif is trans. My objection, and that of many others, is to male violence against women becoming an Olympic sport.”

Additionally, Musk shared a post from the U.S. swimmer Riley Gaines that said “men don’t belong in women’s sports” and added, “Absolutely.”

Meanwhile, Trump posted a picture from the fight accompanied by the message: “I will keep men out of women’s sports!”

Boudi told Variety that although the complaint mentioned names, “what we’re asking is that the prosecution investigates not only these people but whoever it feels necessary.”

“If the case goes to court, they will stand trial,” he added.

The lawyer said that while the lawsuit was filed in France, “it could target personalities overseas.”

Khelif’s coach, Pedro Diaz, said the bullying the boxer endured during the Olympics “incredibly affected her” and “everyone around her.”

“The first time she fought in the Olympics, there was this crazy storm outside of the ring,” said Diaz, who has helped train 21 Olympic champions prior to Khelif. “I had never seen anything so disgusting in my life.”

Khelif also released her own statement following the fight that sparked the outrage.

“I am fully qualified to take part in this competition. I’m a woman like any other woman. I was born a woman, I have lived as a woman, I competed as a woman, there’s no doubt about that. [The detractors] are enemies of success, that is what I call them. And that also gives my success a special taste because of these attacks,” she said.

If Khelif wins the case, Rowling, Musk, and others named in the suit could face maximum of five-year behind bars and fines of up to £214,000 (approximately $236,074).

Study: Harris Economic Agenda Could Add $2T to Deficit

Study: Harris Fiscal Agenda Could Add $2T to US Deficit

Vice President Kamala Harris is trying to convince voters her economic platform will be cutting costs for Americans, but a study released Friday revealed the Democrat presidential candidate's plan will increase the nation's deficit by $1.7 trillion over a decade.

The study by the nonpartisan nonprofit Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget also said the figure would grow to $2 trillion if temporary housing policies were made permanent.

Earlier Friday, Harris revealed the first policy statement of her campaign, now almost a month old. Her "Agenda to Lower Costs for American Families" would, in her first 100 days in office, "cut taxes for the middle class, reduce grocery costs, take on price gouging, lower the costs of owning and renting a home, continue to bring down the costs of prescription drugs, and relieve medical debt for millions of Americans," according to a fact sheet released by her campaign.

Much of this agenda is regulatory, including the ban on "price gouging" of food and groceries.

The tax-and-spending elements of the agenda include expanding the child tax credit by as much as $6,000 for newborns; extending the enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies; expanding the earned income tax credit; establishing a first-time homebuyer tax credit of up to $25,000; further supporting affordable housing with tax incentives for building starter homes; an expansion of existing tax credits to support the development of affordable housing, including a $40 billion housing innovation fund; and lowering prescription drug costs.

"Based on our understanding of these policies, we estimate the new tax credits and spending would cost about $1.95 trillion over 10 years from FY [fiscal year] 2026 through 2035, or $2.25 trillion if the housing policies were made permanent," the study said. "This is partially offset by roughly $250 billion of savings from lower prescription drugs costs — assuming the Harris plan closely matches the Biden-Harris administration's recent proposals.

"On net, this means the agenda would add $1.7 trillion to deficits as written [before interest]. The Harris campaign has emphasized that the major housing policies would only be in effect for four years. However, if they were extended permanently, the fiscal impact would grow to $2 trillion."

Although the Harris campaign does not specify how these proposals would be financed, the fact sheet said she and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, would "fulfill their commitment to fiscal responsibility, including by asking the wealthiest Americans and largest corporations to pay their fair share — steps that will allow us to make necessary investments in the middle class, while also reducing the deficit and strengthening our fiscal health."

"Importantly, Vice President Harris' 'Agenda to Lower Costs for American Families' represents just one part of her overall campaign agenda," the study said. "Previously, Vice President Harris has proposed eliminating taxes on tips and raising the minimum wage, which we estimate would cost between $100 and $200 billion over a decade.

"She has also said she will release plans supporting education, child care, and long-term care, among other policies."

Newsmax reached out to the Harris campaign for comment.

Kamala Harris Tyrannical 2019 Video Resurfaces: 'I Will Snatch Their Patent So That We Will Take Over'

A 2019 video of a Kamala Harris campaign event made the rounds on the internet Friday night after the Democrat presidential hopeful unveiled some of her economic proposals, including her apparent desire for Soviet-style price controls on groceries.

During her ill-fated run for president, the now vice president said she could lower prices on drugs simply by having the government seize patents from pharmaceutical companies and “take over.” That’s not how a free-market economy is supposed to work, but the giddy Harris didn’t care:

“My plan, as a candidate for president, on these drug prices is as follows: We are going to set drug prices based on fair market,” Harris said during a campaign stop in Iowa on Friday. “So, essentially what we’re going to do – and you can visit the website if you will, and if not, get you some documents – but essentially what we’re going to do is set drug prices so that American consumers are charged a price for drugs that’s the average price that’s being charged around the globe.”

But she didn’t think she needed Congress or legislation to tackle the problem, she’d just march in herself and use the enormous power of the federal government (emphasis mine).

“And there’s a huge difference, insulin being an example,” Harris continued. “The other thing is this, if people don’t want to cooperate with that, I’m also going to do the next thing, which is this: A lot of drugs, prescription medication, was born out of the federal funding for the research and development of that drug. Your taxpayer dollars.”

“So, for any drug where they fail to play by our rules, and if that drug came about from federal funding for what’s called ‘R&D,’ research and development, I will snatch their patent so that we will take over,” Harris continued.

Watch:

The party frightened about the 'threat to our democracy' is nominating a wannabe tyrant.

Texas GOP Rep. Dan Crenshaw responded at the time:

She was asked the salient question, can you really do that? Hell yeah, said Kamala [emphasis added]:

According to the Washington Post’s Dave Weigel, somebody in attendance asked the obvious question: Can you do that? “Yes, we can do that,” Harris replied. “We just need the will to do that.”

The Choice in November Is Clear: Do We Want to Grow the Size of the Economy or the Size of the State?

Parent law is notoriously complex, and there are certainly some drug companies that take advantage of them. I have no love for the Pfizers of the world who raked in billions with their flawed COVID vaccines. But her view of the government’s role is chilling, and she seems drunk on power (that she didn’t even have at the time). We have seen the Biden administration weaponizing the powers of the executive branch throughout his term, but Kamala—between her past statements and her newly announced Bolshevik economic policies—sounds like she literally wants to change our hugely successful capitalist economy into something else entirely. Of course, her ideas have been tried in places like Venezuela, the former U.S.S.R., Argentina, and elsewhere, and although they sound oh-so-nice, they never end well.

The American people quickly rejected her vision back in 2020, when she failed to garner a single delegate in the Democrat primary, but now that Biden has handed her the keys to the car, there is a real possibility that she could end up in the Oval Office. What is becoming more and more clear, however, is that she’d really love to become is a socialist tyrant.

#1 - BREAKING: Las Vegas Police Recordings Released From Biden's Medical Event and Code 3 Transport to Airport — by Jennifer Van Laar

Audio from the Las Vegas Metro Police Department's protective detail for President Joe Biden on July 17 was released Friday afternoon by Oversight Project, which obtained the recordings through a Freedom of Information Act request. Those recordings confirm RedState's reporting that Biden was first headed to University Medical Center, a trauma center, after he suddenly canceled a speaking engagement due to illness, then suddenly diverted directly to Harry Reid International Airport.

EXCLUSIVE: Sources Say Joe Biden Suffered Neurological Event Before Suddenly Leaving Las Vegas

The three recordings span a time frame of a few hours and are not timestamped, so it's difficult to get exact time frames from them. Two of the clips, each about four minutes long, are clips from the general channel where LVMPD coordinated additional units (meaning, units that were not involved in the protective detail) used to shut down traffic and secure the routes after the sudden change of plans. The third, the event channel for the officers involved in the protective detail, is about 43 minutes long. We are sharing the audio in full here so readers can listen for themselves.

#2 - Tim Walz's National Guard Unit Chaplain Puts the Retirement Controversy to Rest With Just One Word — by streiff

Another thing has become obvious. Whenever anyone who served with Vance is asked about his service, they are very complimentary. The former Marines who served with Vance liked him and still like him even though their politics differ; see A Tale of Two Veterans: What the Service of Walz and Vance Tells Us About the Men. His former battalion commander put to rest the "he's not a combat veteran" slur; see WATCH: 'Noxious' CNN Host Brianna Keilar Has to Walk Back Comments Critical of JD Vance's Service Record – RedState

The opposite is true of Walz. His military record was examined because two of his peers blew the whistle on his self-serving cowardice. When the brigade sergeant major, Walz's superior in the Noncommissioned Officer support channel, was interviewed, CNN abruptly terminated the damning testimony; see BOMBSHELL: Tim Walz's Former Superior Goes on CNN, Delivers Devastating Testimony.

#3 - Biden Randomly Starts Screaming at Cancer Event, Appears to Forget What Year It Is and Obama's Name — by Nick Arama

"I started this back in the administration of President...at the time, when I was vice president. And we found out I traveled to every major cancer research facility in the world," Biden said.

It could also be that after the effort to shove him out of the race, he doesn't even want to mention Obama's name.

Then at the event, Biden told the false story about traveling "17,000 miles" with Xi Jinping. But he started saying it so softly, with his eyes half shut, that it seemed like he had no energy. He sounded half asleep and he struggled to read the teleprompter, even though he's told the same false story many times.

#4 - Trump Throws a Curveball With Revamped Social Media Game, Takes Completely New Tone — by Bonchie

The first step to fixing a problem is admitting you have one. Trump revamping his social media game, including handing control of his account (seemingly for the first time) to campaign operatives needed to happen. It was too big of a tool in the toolbox to keep hidden away and unused. Truth Social is a tiny bubble. It's the epitome of preaching to the choir. Coming back to X means he can reach tens of millions of followers and he can ad-boost posts that will reach millions more (which he's currently doing).

This wasn't a random decision. The Trump campaign is on rocky ground right now due to a relentlessly dishonest propaganda push by the mainstream press that has sought to completely redefine Harris despite her terrible track record.

#5 - Trump on X Taps Into a Voting Bloc That Legacy Media Doesn't Even Know Exists — Jennifer Oliver O'Connell

The "edgelord influencers," make up a young and MALE segment of voters who have huge online followings, eschew TikTok, and promote alpha males. Trump and his VP running mate JD Vance have been speaking to these influencers and appearing on their podcasts and shows, so who knows how many have tuned in Monday night? So far, over 30 million people (and counting) have already plugged into Trump's X conversation with Musk.

While many are writers, the political class, and the MAGA base, among that number are probably undecided voters or people who pay little attention to the legacy media. The Kamala coronation is either passing over their heads or viewed like a person with three heads. But the iconic former president who survived an assassination attempt?
