Biden committed ‘impeachable conduct,’ ‘defrauded United States to enrich his family’: House GOP report

President Biden engaged in "impeachable conduct," House Republicans found in their months-long impeachment inquiry, declaring in their highly anticipated report that he "abused his office" and "defrauded the United States to enrich his family." 

Fox News Digital obtained a copy of the 292-page report prepared by the House Oversight Committee, House Judiciary Committee and House Ways and Means Committee. Those panels have been leading the impeachment inquiry against Biden. 

"The Committees have accumulated evidence demonstrating that President Biden has engaged in impeachable conduct," the report, which lays out evidence gathered to date, says. 

HOUSE REPUBLICANS REFER HUNTER BIDEN, JAMES BIDEN FOR CRIMINAL PROSECUTION AMID IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY

Republicans said there is "overwhelming evidence" that Biden participated in a "conspiracy to monetize his office of public trust to enrich his family." They alleged that the Biden family and their business associates received tens of millions of dollars from foreign interests by "leading those interests to believe that such payments would provide them access to and influence with President Biden." 

The committees said the Biden family and its associates received more than $27 million from foreign individuals or entities since 2014.

They also alleged that the Biden family leveraged Biden’s position as vice president to obtain more than $8 million in loans from Democrat benefactors. The loans "have not been repaid and the paperwork supporting many of the loans does not exist and has not been produced to the committees."

The Republicans said the conspiracy took place while Biden was serving as vice president.

"As Vice President, President Biden actively participated in his conspiracy by, among other things, attending dinners with his family’s foreign business partners and speaking to them by phone, often when being placed on speakerphone by Hunter Biden," the report states.

Republicans referenced in the report a 2014 dinner that Biden attended for his son, Hunter, with Russian oligarch Yelena Baturina. After the dinner, Baturina wired $3.5 million to Hunter Biden’s firm, Rosemont Seneca Thornton. 

Fox News Digital had previously reported that Biden attended dinners with Hunter Biden’s business associates, including Baturina, in Washington, D.C., at Café Milano in Georgetown in both 2014 and 2015. Biden also met with Jonathan Li of BHR in China in 2013. 

Fox News Digital also previously reported that Biden met with the chair of Chinese energy firm CEFC, Ye Jianming, in 2017. 

"Based on the totality of evidence, it is inconceivable that President Biden did not understand that he was taking part in an effort to enrich his family by abusing his office of public trust," the report states.

Republicans also said the Biden family "went to great lengths to conceal this conspiracy."

"Foreign money was transmitted to the Biden family through complicated financial transactions," the report states. "The Biden family laundered funds through intermediate entities and broke up large transactions into numerous smaller transactions."

Republicans said Hunter Biden and his business associates leveraged Joe Biden’s position as vice president to garner "favorable outcomes in foreign business dealings and legal proceedings." 

"Several witnesses testified that Hunter Biden invoked his father in business dealings with Romanian, Chinese, Kazakhstani, and Ukrainian companies, resulting in millions of dollars flowing to the Biden family," the report states.

"President Biden’s participation in this conspiracy to enrich his family constitutes as impeachable conduct," they said. "By monetizing the Vice Presidency for his family’s benefit, he abused his office of public trust, placing the welfare of his family ahead of the welfare of the United States."

Republicans added, "He also put foreign interests ahead of the interests of the American people."

Meanwhile, Republicans in their report also said Biden used his official position to "conceal his mishandling of classified information as a private citizen." 

"During his tenure as Vice President, Joe Biden removed highly sensitive classified documents from the White House, despite having no authority to do so," the report states.

Special Counsel Robert Hur investigated Biden’s improper retention of classified records for months but did not recommend charges against the president. The records included classified documents about military and foreign policy in Afghanistan, among other records related to national security that implicated "sensitive intelligence sources and methods."

But Hur earlier this year described Biden as a "sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory" and said it "would be difficult to convince a jury they should convict him."

The report also shifts to allegations from IRS whistleblowers, who said federal investigators allowed the statute of limitations to expire on Hunter Biden’s alleged tax crimes. 

"The Justice Department prevented line attorneys from conducting key interviews and pursuing important lines of inquiry," the report states. "The special treatment for Hunter Biden, which only ceased at the onset of congressional attention on the Department’s investigation, may be a basis for impeachment, as the distortion of an official investigation was a basis in the prospective impeachment of President Nixon in 1974."

BIDEN MET WITH CHAIR OF CHINESE ENERGY FIRM HUNTER DID BUSINESS WITH IN 2017, EX-ASSOCIATE TESTIFIES

The report adds, "In certain circumstances the President may be impeached for the actions of subordinate officials." 

"The totality of the corrupt conduct uncovered by the Committees is egregious," the report states. "President Joe Biden conspired to commit influence peddling and grift. In doing so, he abused his office and, by repeatedly lying about his abuse of office, has defrauded the United States to enrich his family." 

Republicans argue that "not one of these transactions would have occurred, but for Joe Biden’s official position in the United States government."

"This pattern of conduct ensured his family – who provided no legitimate services – lived a lavish lifestyle. The evidence uncovered in the Committees’ impeachment inquiry reflects a family selling the ‘Biden brand’ around the world with President Biden – the ‘big guy’ – swooping in to seal the deal on speaker phones or in private dinners," the report states. "It shows a concerted effort to conceal President Biden’s involvement in the family’s influence peddling scheme."

House Republicans pointed to the Constitution, saying the remedy for a president’s "flagrant abuse of office is clear: impeachment by the House of Representatives and removal by the Senate."

"Despite the cheapening of the impeachment power by Democrats in recent years, the House’s decision to pursue articles of impeachment must not be made lightly," the report states. "As such, this report endeavors to present the evidence gathered to date so that all Members of the House may assess the extent of President Biden’s corruption." 

House Republicans’ impeachment inquiry report comes weeks after Biden suspended his re-election campaign amid pressure from within the Democratic Party after the first presidential debate in June against former President Trump.

House Republicans have been leading the impeachment inquiry since mid-2023. The full House of Representatives formalized the inquiry in December 2023. 

In June, House Republicans sent criminal referrals to the Justice Department recommending Hunter Biden and James Biden, the president's brother, be charged with making false statements to Congress about "key aspects" of the impeachment inquiry. 

Hunter Biden was found guilty on federal gun charges in Delaware earlier this year, stemming from charges brought against him by Special Counsel David Weiss. His trial on federal tax charges is set to begin in California in September.

They already stormed the stage at the DNC’s opening welcome party. They’ve already had mini-clashes with the police, but this is a preview. It’s the preseason period of the DNC’s week of mayhem that could erupt over Israel’s justified war of self-defense in Gaza against Hamas terrorists. These far-left, antisemitic protesters are reportedly camping outside the hotels of delegates.

I thought the Harris-Walz ticket was about spreading joy. This looks like a buffet of dysfunction, mayhem, extremism, and antisemitism—things that are very much anti-joy.

Is there enough police and security? We shall see as this week progresses, but we shouldn’t be shocked if a riot breaks out—these people are insane. Pro-Palestinian voices both inside and outside the Democratic National Convention plan to make sure their complaints are heard at this week's gathering in Chicago, starting with a major march on Monday. 

In addition to the tens of thousands who plan to protest near the site, 30 delegates elected to represent the "uncommitted" movement will be inside the convention advocating an anti-war agenda. They will not endorse Harris without assurances that her administration will embrace an arms embargo on Israel. 

According to a source familiar the matter, Harris-Walz campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez, as well as other top campaign officials, met with local Arab American and Jewish American leaders in Michigan this past week, including Deputy Wayne County Executive Assad Turfe. He described the meeting as "incredibly productive," noting that "these meetings underscored the Harris team's commitment to ensuring that our community has a meaningful seat at the table." 

Be on the alert for disruptions on the convention floor, too (via The Guardian):

Some 40,000 protesters are expected to gather outside the Democratic National Convention (DNC) in Chicago on Monday to demonstrate against the Biden administration’s position on Israel, with some groups saying they will push for amendments to the party’s platform. 

The party is on guard for disruptions to high-profile speeches at the DNC, with one pro-Palestinian group called Delegates Against Genocide, angry at US support for Israel’s offensive in Gaza, saying it will press for an arms embargo this week. 

People take part in a protest organised by pro-choice rights, pro-LGBT rights and pro-Palestinian activists, in Chicago, ahead of the Democratic National Convention. 

Delegates Against Genocide said it would exercise its freedom of speech rights during main events at the four-day convention. Its organisers declined to give details, but said they would offer amendments to the party platform and use their rights as delegates to speak on the convention floor. 

Six major protests are planned. There was a discussion to halt the mass demonstrations, but ultimately, the anti-Jewish, anti-Israel faction said, “full steam ahead” (via Politico): 

There was a moment after Vice President Kamala Harris was tapped to run for president, when pro-Palestinian activists prepping massive demonstrations at the Democratic National Convention paused to rethink their approach. 

The main organization corralling more than 200 groups to protest at the convention, March on the DNC 2024, met for about half an hour the day Harris announced her candidacy. The meeting was to consider whether to move forward with the same confrontational approach they had aimed at President Joe Biden, who they dubbed “Genocide Joe” for his policies on Israel.

“We all came to a consensus that it’s not going to make a difference, that [Harris] represents this administration,” said Hatem Abudayyeh, chair of the U.S. Palestinian Community Network. “We’re going to stay full steam ahead.” 

And he noted, his organization referred to Harris as “Killer Kamala” even before she topped the ticket and continues to push for harsher restrictions on the Israeli government, like an arms embargo — something that a top Harris adviser has said she doesn’t support. 

There are at least six major protests planned on the streets of Chicago during the Democratic National Convention. The biggest is planned for the first day, Monday, when “tens of thousands” are expected to march just blocks from the United Center, where Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, will give their acceptance speeches. 

Everyone, brace yourselves. It's going to be a long week.

Why This Black Wisconsin Voter Is Leaning Toward Voting for Trump

We’ve all had fun highlighting Kamala Harris’ social awkwardness. Donald Trump has been brutal to her in his rallies, but it’s not necessary. There’s a reason why this woman is keeping her mouth shut: she’s a lightweight and an absolute disaster on policy. Why is this silent monk routine amusing?

Her entire agenda is Joe Biden’s, and her name is right next to his in all the White House policy rollouts. When she does speak, it’s an incoherent trainwreck. Keeping Biden and Harris attached at the hip in the messaging is essential, and voters aren’t dumb either. 

ABC News interviewed a black Wisconsin woman who was unafraid to say she was leaning towards Trump, citing the former president’s ‘no tax on tips’ policy, which this woman said Kamala stole. 

“She's [Kamala] just been kind of caught up in a lot of lies,” she added. 

Black voters are an interesting demographic this cycle since a) they didn’t like Joe Biden, and b) they’re not overly jacked up about Kamala Harris either. They’re willing to veer away from the DNC’s laughable propaganda about the economy. In Philadelphia, one black woman broke down about how inflation is killing the community without actually doing it, placing blame on the federal government—aka the Biden administration.

Harris’ refusal to talk about it should insult voters, though we all understand why she doesn’t speak to the press: her idiocy gets exposed.

Nancy Pelosi Is One Nasty Woman

Love her or hate her, there is one thing about Nancy Pelosi: she gets stuff done. Most of it is atrocious on policy, but when it comes to the inner workings of the Democratic Party, she can be a savior or the grim reaper. For Joe Biden, she was the harbinger of death to his presidency. Other horsemen led the Biden White House to its apocalypse, but it seems like Pelosi was the one who fired the kill shot. 

The woman is lethal, which has been known to the people covering her. It’s fallen by the wayside, but she kneecapped the Squad shortly after Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was elected, ensuring they’re visible and vocal but never a threat. That’s the Hill. On this game hunt, she took down a presidency when it became clear that a) Biden was going to decimate Democrats down ballot, and b) Joe was trying to run out the clock.

The president tried the bunker protocol he had used in the 2020 election, hiding until Pelosi dropped some grenades into it. The former House Speaker was done with the president’s foot-dragging and poll denialism. The Democrats were approaching an embarrassing defeat if he remained a la Jimmy Carter in 1980. It’s here that she essentially blackmailed the president, saying she would denounce him viciously in public, making her the most prominent Democrat to do so, and would cite brutal polling to back up her new aggressive attitude toward the president. With Pelosi’s public denouncement, the dam, which was already about to bust, would have collapsed (via NY Post) 

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had threatened to publicly trash President Biden if he didn’t end his reelection bid — forcing the then-ailing commander in chief into a “come to Jesus” decision to finally call it quits, according to a new report about the final moments of his campaign. 

Pelosi sent an urgent message to the 81-year-old president last month while he was still nursing his COVID-19 infection at his Delaware beach house, insiders told the Daily Mail. 

Pelosi reportedly threatened to publicly trash her longtime friend and political ally if he continued to ignore thunderous calls to drop out of the 2024 election over fears for his cognitive abilities, four sources close to the campaign told the outlet. 

Pelosi threatened to go public with her belief that her fellow Democrat wouldn’t beat the Republican nominee, former President Donald Trump, in a rematch — and threatened to release humiliating polling data to back it up, the sources alleged. 

Frankly, I prefer the 25^th Amendment story, but whatever the scenario, it shows how weak this presidency was, something that Pelosi alluded to post-Biden dropout. The California liberal trashed the president’s political operation, as she should—they allowed him to get booted. With all its institutional advantages, the US presidency can and should be able to snuff out internal issues quickly. Yet, it’s only as strong as the man behind the desk. Pelosi knew that and sniped Biden, who reportedly hasn’t spoken to her in days. It’s got to the point where Pelosi appears worried that this relationship might be permanently fractured. I’d say so until Joe completely forgets who he is.

Trump: 'We Will Make America Affordable Again'

 

Opening with a warning on the "Kamala crash" and a 1929-like Great Depression, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump called Democrats "a threat to democracy" and an existential threat to the American dream, vowing to "make America affordable again."

"Does anyone here feel richer under Kamala Harris and Crooked Joe [Biden]?" Trump asked his Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, campaign rally, which aired live and in its entirety on Newsmax and the free Newsmax2 streaming platform. "Is anything less expensive under Kamala Harris or Crooked Joe?

"No, no, no, it's been it's been devastating.

"Inflation has been devastating under this group of people that have no idea what the hell they're doing. Are you better off with Kamala and Biden than you were under President Donald J. Trump? I don't think so."

Working off his trademark "make American great again" slogan, Trump vowed to unwind what he says are the economic-crushing policies of the Biden administration, signed off on by Harris.

"Starting the day I take the oath of office, I will rapidly drive prices down, and we will make America affordable again," Trump said. "We're going to make it affordable again.

"Under Kamala Harris and Crooked Joe Biden, the American dream was dead. And it is dead. It's dead as a doornail. They'll never bring it back unless we win.

"If we win, we're going to have the American dream alive — all for your beautiful children, your grandchildren."

Harris' leftist policies must be rejected by American voters this fall, Trump continued.

"Think of this: 80 days from now we are going to defeat a communist known as Kamala Harris," he said. "She's a communist — most radical left person ever to run for office. This is not what this country needs. We've had enough of them.

"We're going to win back the White House, and we're going to take back our country.

"Kamala Harris is a super left liberal who ruined San Francisco, ruined California, and delivered a badly broken economy, a badly broken border — which gave us a dangerous world of chaos, death, and destruction."

The election starts far before November, with early voting starting in some states in September. Trump has pushed to get the debates started Sept. 4 before the voting, but Harris put a stop to that.

"I look forward to debating her, by the way," Trump said, railing on Biden's ouster after his widely panned debate. "She'll be easier."

Trump vowed his election victory will be as dominant as his debate against Harris.

"She will be easier to beat than him, because she's a radical-left lunatic," Trump said.

How desperate is the media to defend Kamala Harris after she basically undercut her candidacy with her own words? 

MSNBC's Stephanie Ruhle has to take the cake for abandoning any sense with her attempt to somehow make this a "positive" or at least not a negative for Harris.  The way MSNBC's Ruhle interpreted it was Trump can't argue that she's ignoring it.

. @KamalaHarris just laid it out...   “Since the pandemic, the price of bread is up 50%. The price of chicken and beef is up xx%” ….by acknowledging the issue, she it makes it a lot harder for her opponent to claim she's ignoring it.

Wait, what? What world does Ruhle live in? 

Is that an excuse for Harris, who helped to create the problem? She directly helped by casting the deciding vote for legislation that made inflation worse.

It should be noted the Biden-Harris team lied about inflation for a long time and then they blamed everyone but themselves. They're still doing that now, blaming corporate greed. They let it fester for three-plus years as people suffered. 

On Friday in North Carolina, what Harris was proposing was $1.7 trillion in giveaways/spending which would cause more inflation, as well as price controls which would further destroy the economy. She doesn't understand (or care) what she did wrong the first time and she's promising to do it again (make it even worse). Are we supposed to believe that corporations suddenly decided to be more greedy under her and Biden more than Trump? 

It's yet another reason to vote for Trump. Even CNN and a Washington Post op-ed were calling out her plans with how bad they were.

If the media were honest, they would be admitting that Kamala Harris has had a rough start to her campaign. She picked a running mate who makes Howard Dean seem calm and coherent, not to mention all the swirling scandals resulting from his problem with the truth over stolen valor and other issues.

Then there are her own issues with ducking the press, failing to answer questions, or do interviews. She had no policies on her website but did manage to appropriate her opponents’ policies like no tax on tips and increasing the child tax credit. 

When she finally put out a policy of her own - saying she was for price controls on corporations - she got blasted by both CNN and a columnist in the Washington Post. The article made the point that maybe when you’re accused of being a communist, don’t propose policies that help feed the term.

Harris did an event with Joe Biden in Maryland on Thursday, then Friday traveled to North Carolina, where she was supposed to talk about the economy and her own plans in that regard, including how to address things like inflation. The problem of course is that she's been in power for three-plus years and all she's done is make things worse. She wants to talk about what she'd do on "day one" now when she's way past "day one." But she acted as though she was running against the guy occupying the office now, as opposed to working right along with him in the failures. 

The Trump War Room grabbed some of her comments.

She then tried to talk about "price gouging" but she didn't even know how to say it, saying "price gauging" instead. She can't even get the Communism excuse straight. 

She also spoke about how much more everything was including food, rent, and gas. 

That was immediately turned around into one of the shortest and sharpest political ads ever. "A loaf of bread cost 50 percent more than it did before the pandemic. Ground beef is up almost 50 percent," she declared, admitting things were cheaper under Trump. 

Trump War Room said they "appreciate her honesty" [on this issue]. 

But it's hilarious. Is she so in a bubble that she doesn't see how this comes across, when she's in power?  She's giving Trump things he can use -- the truth of how bad it is under Biden-Harris to use against her.

That's a very simple message that will get across to people. This suffering we're all going through is on her. Why would we vote in more of it, not just with prices but the policies that she wants that would make it even worse - things like price controls and stopping the Trump tax cuts, which would raise taxes on most Americans?
