Negative

Every time I go to a major website I read something negative about the American people. Yahoo had a article written by some unknown dip shit entitled Americans walk half as much as people in other countries. I went to another website and found something that reads obesity in Americans are higher then in other countries.
One site even writes about how Americans don't read as much as people in other countries. The list goes on and on and on about how bad the American people are. My question would be, if we're so bad why in the hell is everyone trying to get to America? I think that the American people are the greatest on earth and America is the best place in the whole world to live in. Every time you surf the web, read a paper, or watch the news, all of these people are constantly putting us down. By God I'm proud to be American, and if you don't like me for what I am get the hell out of Dodge.

Iraq Racks Up Budget Surpluses While U.S. Debt Grows

Iraq has run annual budget surpluses each year since the United States invaded and ousted Saddam Hussein in 2003 — while the U.S. pumped more than half a trillion dollars into Iraq and ran deficits in every one of those years.
In the 6-year period from 2004 through 2009, the Iraqi government amassed a surplus of $52.1 billion, with up to 92.1 percent of its revenues coming from oil exports, according to an audit by the U.S. Government Accountability Office.
During that same period, deficits in six consecutive years boosted the overall U.S. national debt from $6.9 trillion to $12.3 trillion.
Part of that increased debt can be attributed to the $624 billion the U.S. has spent fighting the war to overthrow the Iraqi regime and help the Iraqis set up a democratic government, the GAO observed.
Despite Iraq’s surpluses, on July 29 the U.S. Congress approved $1 billion in “emergency” aid to the Iraqi government, and President Barack Obama is seeking another $2 billion in his fiscal 2011 budget, CNSNews reported.
The GAO also disclosed that the Iraqi government held as much as $32.2 billion in cash on deposit at banks and financial institutions.
“GAO believes that Congress should consider Iraq’s available financial resources when it reviews the administration’s fiscal 2011 budget request and other potential future budget requests for additional funds to train and equip Iraqi security forces,” the GAO stated in its audit report.
According to the Congressional Budget Office, America’s budget deficit exceeded $1.3 trillion for fiscal 2010, which ended Sept. 30 — the second greatest deficit as a percentage of GDP since World War II.
The greatest? The previous year’s $1.4 trillion deficit. www.newsmax.com

Are You Kidding Me?

Have you seen the one about the exploited maid that was in this country illegally and was making $21 a hour!
Poor thing, I really feel sorry for her!  I was born and worked here in America all my life and I don't make $21 a hour! But I am thinking of giving up my citizenship, leaving the country and coming back here illegally. If a person can get paid more for breaking the law instead of following it, I'm changing my ways! On a serious note, she is probably being paid a lot more by the Democrats to slam her former employee.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi

What a joke on America! This person is the ultimate crooked lying politician and she is suppose to be one of the best the Demos can come up with. Well if she is the best they have I would probably cringe at their worst. Have you heard that the democratic party has change their emblem and are trying to change their public image? Well why don't they just throw people like her out of the party and maybe, just maybe they might get one or two more votes!

GOP stars put Fox News in dicey spot

With Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Mike Huckabee all making moves indicating they may run for president, their common employer (FOX NEWS) is facing a question that hasn’t been asked before: How does a news organization cover White House hopefuls when so many are on the payroll?

Nothing 'Free' About Obamacare

By: Betsy McCaughey
Whenever you hear the word “free,” you’re forewarned that someone is trying to play you for a fool. Supporters of Obamacare are telling us that the new law offers “free” preventive care. But read the fine print.

What the law actually says is you have to pay 100 percent upfront, in your premium, for any preventive care services such as mammograms, colonoscopies, and quit-smoking programs.

If you decide to get one of these services, insurance companies can’t charge you a copay. But that doesn’t mean you get it for free. You’ve already prepaid.

If you buy the $25 all-you-can eat buffet, the restaurant can’t claim dessert is free.

You may be one of the millions of Americans who just got a premium hike in the mail. One reason is “free” preventive care. Another reason is the ban on lifetime caps.

Until now, most health plans put a lifetime limit on what the insurer will pay. Obamacare outlaws that limit. That’s an attractive change for people with chronic illnesses. But it’s not a freebie either.

In fact, it is the single biggest reason your premium is going up. If you got rid of the cap in your auto insurance or your homeowner’s plan, those premiums would soar too.

Essentially the new law takes away your decision about how much insurance you’re willing to buy. You’re forced to buy the sky’s-the- limit policy and pay the higher premium, whether you want to or not.

When you get more, you have to pay more. There is no tooth fairy.

Premium hikes in the mail, and more down the pike. According to the administration’s own projections released by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid on Sept. 9, your premium is going to be higher than if the law hadn’t passed every year through 2019. As far as the eye can see.

Don’t let your Congress member act surprised by this bad news. Members of Congress were warned by the Congressional Budget Office last March, before they voted for the Obama health law, that it would raise premiums.

They knew they were casting a vote to take money out of your pocket. That’s something to remember on Election Day.

Mexico Builds A Fence On Their Own Southern Border

Posted by Maggie On September - 21 - 2010

I am wondering where the American media and the ‘activists’ that carry “RACIST” signs in demonstrations inside this country are. Mexico, under the cover of all these people, is building a fence on their own southern border. A google search of this subject after I heard Glenn Beck mention it on his radio program this morning resulted in these two sources:
WRAL: 1.4 billion to help mexico build their southern border fence
Did anyone hear if this funding has been approved – the Merida Initiative – where the US provides the funding for Mexico to secure ITS southern border?
We can’t seem to get our own built, but we’re helping Mexico build THEIR border fence between them and Guatemala….
Seems Mexico doesn’t want illegals coming into their country, so the US taxpayers get to foot the bill!
This has been going on “behind closed doors” with the State Dept for over a year. Appears to be part of the plan for the North American Union…
“The plan is called “The Merida Initiative.” Seems that the White House has had this plan in the works for nearly a year with little congressional input on either side of the border.
We can’t finish our own border fence, properly supply our immigration agents and border patrol with all the equipment and resources they need, or get our house in order. Yet, the Bush administration wants to fork over $1.4 billion to Mexico and Central America–with much of it going into the hands of corrupt law enforcement officials and government bureaucrats who have worked tirelessly to undermine our immigration laws. The funding is tucked into the 2008 supplemental budget.
Naturally, the State Department has taken a lead role. They’ve held meetings in secret and cut out members of Congress from discussion. You’ll love the explanation for the secrecy: Mexico is “sensitive,” you see. Also, according to one expert, “Mexico is very protective of its sovereignty and very worried about any incursion of U.S. security forces or private contractors—like Blackwater—coming in to train Mexicans.” Yeah, they’re worried about incursions and sovereignty.
The State Dept. disclosed the first phase of the Merida Initiative last October, involving some $550 million in aid for inspection scanners, helicopters, surveillance tools, and case management software…”
Unfortunately, I suspect that Hillary, Obama AND McCain are probably all “on board” with this plan , since they all seem to support the open border philosophy…
Examiner: Hypocritical Mexico is now building their own wall on border with Guatemala…press ignores
The Inter-Press Sevice (IPS) is reporting that the head administrator of the Mexican Superintendency of Tax Administration, Raul Diaz, has confirmed that his government is building a wall in the state of Chiapas, along the Mexican/Guatemalan border.
The official reason is to stop contraband from coming into Mexico, but as Diaz admitted: “It could also prevent the free passage of illegal immigrants.”
According to Mexico’s National Commission on Human Rights, 500,000 people from Central America cross into Mexico illegally every year.
Just as Mexican authorities have opposed the construction of a fence by the U.S., along our border with their country, Mexico is now receiving a great deal of criticism from the Guatemalan government.
The executive coordinator of the National Bureau for Migration in Guatemala, Marila de Prince, told a local newspaper: “It is not a correct measure being taken by the Mexican government.”
Erick Maldonado, executive secretary of Guatemala’s National Council on Migrants said: “We are watching the Mexican government’s initiative with concern because the migrants are in a situation of highest vulnerability, as demonstrated by the massacre in Tamaulipas, where five Guatemalans died.”
Maldonado said the wall “is going to make the migrants’ situation worse, because to meet their needs they are always going to find blind points where there are no migration or security controls, which implies greater risks.”
Vice-President of Guatemala, Rafael Espada, said: “The walls are not the solution to the problems.”
The Catholic Church has been highly critical of U.S. treatment of illegal aliens, and one priest in Central America used the news of the Mexican wall to take another shot at the American people.
Father Francisco Pellizari, of the Casa del Migrante told IPS: “The dramatic increase in the cost of ‘polleros’ (human traffickers) and the corruption of the authorities is the result of the walls the United States plans to build and has built along the border. We can transpose the Guatemala case to this situation and the results will be the same.”
Peliizari said border walls “are supposedly intended to halt migration, but that hasn’t happened. Instead they have triggered an economic hemorrhage and a shift in the migratory flow to inhospitable routes that lead to thousands of deaths.”
Of course, the U.S. press has completely ignored the story…They excoriate Americans for their desire to simply defend their own borders, but give Mexico a pass for building a wall to keep out illegal aliens.
