While U.S. intelligence officials worked furiously to track bin Laden, the notorious terrorist was living in a suspicious $1 million complex surrounded by a privacy wall and security gates just a short walk from a top military training center. The neighborhood where he spent his time was affluent, and filled with retired military, yet he was able to hideout there possibly for years.

The funny thing is that when I first read about the new Superman storyline, I immediately thought of the new Coke/old Coke controversy. By introducing a new formulation of Coke, the Coca Cola company made fans remember all the things they loved about the real thing (pun intended).


But the analogy fell apart when I realized the big difference: Coke is just a product; Superman is a character. He’s a character who is supposed to represent “Truth, Justice and the American Way.”


That’s heady American stuff.


SNL already discussed the implication of a non-American Superman in great detail in Season 4, episode 10 in a segment called “What if?” starring Michael Palin- no relation to Sarah I suppose.





“Well, here's tonight's dramatization of: What if Superman had grown up in Germany instead of America?”


“I am.. Uberman! I have superhuman powers, and I fight for untruth, injustice, and the Nazi way.”

A Slippery Character

With a father like this, it is little wonder President Obama did not want to release his full birth certificate.

Though the proof that he was actually born in Hawaii may silence some critics, a new, rather more interesting side of his life has emerged - that his father Barack Obama senior was a serial womaniser and polygamist who government and university officials were trying to force out of the country.

Obama senior married Stanley Ann Dunham, a white student from Kansas, not only when he was said to have already been married to a woman in Kenya, but at a time when interracial marriages were still illegal in many parts of the U.S.

Documents obtained from the U.S. immigration service paint a picture of a man who 'had an eye for the ladies' and, according to his file, had to be warned several times to stay away from girls at the university.

Heather Smathers, a investigative journalist with the Arizona Independent, obtained the files through a Freedom of Information request.

A memo from a University of Hawaii foreign student advisor said that Obama senior had 'been running around with several girls since he first arrived here and last summer she cautioned him about his playboy ways. Subject replied that he would "try" to stay away from the girls.'

It also considered his earlier Kenya marriage as a grounds to deny him a visa extension but concluded that 'polygamy was not an excludable or deportation charge'.

Entitlement My Ass!

Entitlement my ass, I paid cash for my social security insurance!!!! Just because they borrowed the money, doesn't make my benefits some kind of charity or handout !! Congressional benefits, aka. free health care, outrageous retirement packages, 67 paid holidays, three weeks paid vacation, unlimited paid sick days, now that's welfare, and they have the nerve to call my retirement 'entitlements'!!!!!! .....scroll down...............

Tuesday's Daily Bulletin paper, ran two articles on the front page side by side:

1- Calif 's 20 Billion Dollar Budget Deficit

2- The Calif Supreme Court ruling that ILLEGALS can attend college and get benefits.

Why don't they just deport them when they arrive to register?

3- Last year they ran an article on the yearly costs to Calif Taxpayers from Illegals using Hospital Emergency Rooms for their general health care -

At just one hospital the cost to tax payers totaled over $25  million a year

Someone please tell me what the Hell's wrong with all the people that run this country!!!!!!

We're "broke" & can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless etc.???????????

In the last months we have provided aid to Haiti , Chile , and Turkey .  And now Pakistan .....home of bin Laden.  Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!

Our retired seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid nor do they get any breaks while our government and religious organizations pour Hundreds of Billions of $$$$$$'s and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries!

They call Social Security and Medicare an entitlement even though most of us have been paying for it all our working lives and now when its time for us to collect, the government is running out of money.  Why did the government borrow from it in the first place?

 We have hundreds of adoptable children who are shoved aside to make room for the adoption of foreign orphans.

AMERICA:  a country where we have homeless without shelter,  children going to bed hungry, elderly going without 'needed' meds, and mentally ill without treatment -etc, etc.

YET.....................
They have a 'Benefit'  for the people of Haiti on 12 TV stations, ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents clothes, bedding, doctors and medical supplies.

Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave 'US' the same support they give to other countries. 

Sad isn't it?

Illegal Immigrant Became a Cop in Alaska

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – For years, the man known as Rafael Espinoza was widely respected as an exemplary police officer who was popular among his peers in Alaska's largest city.

All that ended this week when authorities discovered he was really Mexican national Rafael Mora-Lopez, who was in the U.S. illegally and stole another man's identity, officials charged.

"His reputation here is one of a hard-working officer, one who was very professional," Anchorage Police Chief Mark Mew said Friday at a news conference announcing Mora-Lopez's arrest. "The problem, obviously, is he is not Rafael Espinoza."

Soon after the announcement, Mora-Lopez appeared in U.S. District Court in Anchorage and pleaded not guilty to a charge of passport fraud, which carries a maximum 10-year sentence. At his arraignment, Mora-Lopez told a federal magistrate he is 47, even though officials listed his age as 51.
