Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., mocked Joe Biden for his insinuation his administration had achieved some major milestone with 1 million COVID-19 vaccinations per day when it was a rate he inherited from the Trump administration.
McConnell went even further, ridiculing Biden for his national address Thursday in which he suggested Americans might be able to gather in small groups on Independence Day. "Why did President Biden tell Americans to wait until July 4th to gather in ways that cities, states, and the CDC approve right now?" the 79-year-old, 7-term Republican said. McConnell panned Biden's speech, criticizing it for being massively unaware.
