White House official Stephen Miller condemned a court's ruling to block President Donald Trump's tariffs as being part of a "judicial coup." A U.S. trade court blocked most of Trump's tariffs in a sweeping Wednesday ruling that found the president overstepped his authority by imposing across-the-board duties on imports from U.S. trading partners. Miller, Trump's deputy chief of staff for policy, reacted on X. "The judicial coup is out of control," Miller posted Wednesday night on X while sharing a post about the court ruling. On Wednesday, the Court of International Trade said the U.S. Constitution gives Congress exclusive authority to regulate commerce with other countries that is not overridden by the president's emergency powers to safeguard the U.S. economy. Miller's comment partly stems from Democrats having used the courts
to try and stop Trump's agenda, especially when it comes to deporting
illegal migrants.
