Hilarious: X Bodies the EU With the Perfect Response to Their Fine

As we reported, the European Union (EU) dropped a big fine on X and Elon Musk. Their executive body, the European Commission, announced it on its X account.

Today, we fined X for non-compliance with transparency obligations under the DSA. 

We're holding X accountable for:

Deceptive design of its ‘blue checkmark

’Lack of transparency of its advertising repository

Failure to provide access to public data for researchers

The reason I warned you not to click on the video is that it isn't a video. It's deceptive and clicks through to their website to an article. So the purpose is to fool you into increasing clicks to their site. The DSA they mention is the Digital Services Act. 

As we reported, the Trump administration has slammed the fine and the effort to go after "American tech platforms and the American people." The days of censorship against Americans are over, Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned the EU.

Vice President JD Vance also took them to task when the report hit. 

Then, it was X head of product, Nikita Bier, who delivered the coup de grace to the EU for their action. 

The irony of your announcement: 

You logged into your dormant ad account to take advantage of an exploit in our Ad Composer — to post a link that deceives users into thinking it’s a video and to artificially increase its reach. 

As you may be aware, X believes everyone should have an equal voice on our platform. However, it seems you believe that the rules should not apply to your account. 

Your ad account has been terminated.

Now that truly is the perfect response, pointing out how the EU is doing exactly what they are trying to accuse X of doing. The blue checkmark isn't deceptive, but the EU's post was. Gotta love it. Nice job, Nikita Bier!

Bier was also the one behind putting the locations people are posting from on X, which now helps us to determine when foreigners are trying to interfere in our politics and play division games. 

The EU wants to play, and they're finding out that isn't a good idea.
