Protesters Bring Obscenity to AMFest While Conservatives Stand Strong

If you were at AMFest and thought you were coming to a family-friendly, patriotic celebration, what you saw on the sidewalk was something else entirely — a mob with megaphones, crude signs, and the kind of vulgar, targeted vitriol that passes for “protest” these days. BlazeTV footage shows protesters unleashing disgusting chants and even invoking Jesus in explicitly sexual ways to bait and bait again until conservatives either ignored them or answered their bait.

When Blaze’s Sara Gonzales stepped up and began asking simple, pointed questions — the kind of questions any decent journalist or citizen might ask — the performance crumbled; the loudest people suddenly lost their advantage and turned defensive or silent. That’s the pattern: perform outrage, shout over the crowd, and hope nobody calls them on specifics; when confronted with basic reality, the “protest” evaporates.

Make no mistake, AMFest is not some random gathering — it’s a big, heartland, conservative festival where patriots gather to defend our values and our kids from the cultural rot. Turning Point and like-minded activists organize these events to push back against the left’s takeover of institutions, and the left’s answer too often is to show up with obscenity instead of arguments. That’s not debate; it’s intimidation theater.

We’ve seen this playbook before: shout the filthiest thing possible, accuse anyone who objects of “silencing” or “hate,” and then run to sympathetic outlets when the cameras don’t go their way. Blaze’s on-the-ground reporting has documented these tactics repeatedly — pepper spray, theft, and theatrical meltdowns are increasingly the left’s method for avoiding actual discussion. Conservatives must stop treating these disruptions as mere noise and start treating them as deliberate attempts to bully public life.

It’s also a reminder that the mainstream media won’t defend decent citizens from this behavior; more often they amplify the performative tantrum and frame the protesters as righteous dissenters. Meanwhile, conservative journalists and grassroots organizers have to do the heavy lifting: show up, record, call out lies, and protect free speech for everyone — especially the speech that leftists say they cherish when it isn’t used against them.

At the end of the day, what happened at AMFest should harden our resolve, not scare us off from public life. We’re not going to be shouted into silence by people who trade in obscenity and theater; we will keep asking the tough questions, exposing the hypocrisy, and standing up for families and faith. America needs more citizens with the courage of Sara Gonzales and the common sense of the AMFest crowd, not fewer.
