Congress Investigates Ties Between Billionaire and Anti-ICE Chaos

Congressional Republicans are finally doing what too many in Washington have ignored: following the money behind the chaos. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna moved this week to compel Neville Roy Singham —

a wealthy U.S. citizen now based in China and accused of bankrolling radical groups — to answer questions about his network’s alleged role in the anti-ICE riots that tore through American cities.

That move is long overdue. For months conservative investigators have flagged how dark-money channels and nonprofit front groups can be used to finance unrest, and Singham’s name keeps coming up as a major funder of Marxist and pro-CPP outfits that surged into action following an ICE-related shooting last summer. The Oversight Committee’s demand for documents and testimony is a necessary step to protect law and order and to expose foreign influence operations masquerading as activism.

Let’s be clear: these are allegations that must be fully investigated, but the pattern is chilling. Reports show that organizations tied to Singham provided resources and coordination to groups that were central to the Los Angeles disturbances, raising real questions about whether foreign money and ideology are fueling violence on American streets. If a wealthy donor is using his fortune to destabilize our cities, patriotic Americans deserve to know who is behind it and why.

Rep. Luna and her colleagues aren’t playing politics with this — they’re protecting citizens who work hard and obey the law while watching mobs burn and loot with impunity. The committee has warned Singham that refusal to cooperate will lead to subpoenas and DOJ referral, and rightly so; accountability should not be optional for the global elites who bankroll radical agendas from abroad. Congress must use every lawful tool, including FARA scrutiny and asset freezes, to cut off the money that bankrolls riots.

Meanwhile, the usual suspects in corporate media will try to melt this into a story about free speech or climate of “protest,” but Americans aren’t fooled. There is a difference between lawful protest and organized campaigns to obstruct federal law enforcement and foment chaos — and we shouldn’t reward or enable the latter simply because it suits a partisan narrative. It’s time for honest reporting and for law enforcement to follow the paper trail without fear or favor.

If this probe yields evidence that an American billionaire has been acting as an unregistered foreign conduit or as a guarantor for militant groups, the full force of the law must be applied. Patriotic lawmakers must keep pressing, conservative voters must keep watching, and the Biden administration — which has been slow to act in past cases — should not stand in the way of truth and security. Our cities, our borders, and our republic depend on it.
