The Michigan Senate race is heating up. If Democrats are going to have any chance to take back the Senate, they need to hold Michigan. But Republicans have a good chance to win with former Rep. Mike Rogers.
The RealClearPolitics (they lean left) polling average has Rogers up by one point. As we reported, a recent Fox poll has him up by four points, with CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten

saying El-Sayed is "historically unpopular." Generally speaking, it's been my observation that Fox polls tend to skew toward the Democrats. If that's true here, Rogers might be up by even more.
It's going to be a challenge for El-Sayed.

As the primary voting showed, he had trouble with the working class and black voters. His radical positions have also alienated some Democrats who are now supporting his opponent. His connection to extremist Twitch streamer Hasan Piker is also a drag on him in the general election.

On Sunday, El-Sayed tried to attack Rogers for "frolicking" at the Sanilac County Fair, as he termed it. Rogers was there to meet voters. He was not "frolicking" in any of the pictures.
He’s out here frolicking at the fair while our poor servicemen and women on the USS Abraham Lincoln are starving for food. Says he wants to be a US Senator and won’t say a word about them. Disgusting! https://t.co/iAWK1aEA2s

"He’s out here frolicking at the fair while our poor servicemen and women on the USS Abraham Lincoln are starving for food," El-Sayed claimed. "Says he wants to be a US Senator and won’t say a word about them. Disgusting!"
We've noted the Department of War has pushed back strongly on claims about conditions on the Lincoln. They even pointed out how a CNN reporter visited the ship last month and had ice cream. That does not sound like "starving."

El-Sayed is attacking someone who actually knows what it's like to serve in the military. Rogers was a lieutenant in the U.S. Army; El-Sayed has not served.
Meanwhile, speaking of "frolicking," I think that's what we're seeing here.
— Fox News (@FoxNews) August 13, 2026The internet has found a resurfaced Abdul El-Sayed campaign video, and the Blue’s Clues-inspired pitch is getting roasted.

Then there was this: Sure looks like frolicking.

And there's this on the same day he's posting about Rogers when he is most definitely frolicking at about 10 seconds into this video.
Isn’t this you frolicking? pic.twitter.com/VdJ0bsxhOe

Given all of that cringe, it's hilarious he would even use the term "frolicking." What a lack of self-awareness.
No, Rogers isn't frolicking like El-Sayed; he's busy focused on the issues. But, please, El-Sayed should keep embarrassing himself with "attacks" like this.
