Trump questions Nobel Peace Prize snub despite settling multiple wars

President Donald Trump strongly criticized the Norwegian Nobel Committee for failing to recognize his administration’s foreign accomplishments following the announcement of the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize.

In a lengthy Truth Social post on Saturday, the president argued that under his leadership, the U.S. has settled eight wars, prevented Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons, secured the release of all Israeli hostages from Hamas, and facilitated the removal of Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro.

“The United States of America, represented by me, as your President, should have received the Nobel Peace Prize, but didn’t. This is an indelible stain on Norway, one that will never be forgotten. The Nobel “Peace” Prize has been forever discredited by a handful of Radical Ideologues who are Anti-Democracy, and Enemies of Civilization!” Trump concluded in his lengthy post.

This comes after the Nobel committee awarded this year’s peace prize to former International Criminal Court (ICC) judge Navi Pillay, whom President Trump has taken aim at in the past.
