As we reported, the reboot of the White House Correspondents' Dinner (WHCD) was Friday, after it had been postponed because of the assassination attempt at the event in April. Trump roasted the media with some funny barbs, and the left/liberals had their typical, sour reaction to it all. They all lost their minds when he joked about running again and wore a Trump 2028 hat. There was also some fun at the event with Oz Pearlman, the mentalist, pulling some amusing tricks, even dragging in the Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche at one point. People enjoyed that joke. Trump also went on to say that they came back to redo the dinner "to answer that heinous attack with unwavering resolve...to show we do not yield to political violence." But that wasn't the last word. Some on social media tried to paint Trump's comment as some kind of jab at Minaj, but Minaj, who is friends with the president, shut down anyone trying to make the joke divisive. She posted a humorous reply to Trump. She's known for making posts with the horror character Chucky in them, and she pulled one out for Trump. Somehow, I suspect he'll find it funny too. Here she was at the Trump Accounts event at the White House earlier in July, having a giggle at the infamous Joe Biden autopen picture.
Minaj is also a big proponent of some big Trump agenda items like voter ID, as we have reported in the past. Her response is she doesn't care. That's a rare attitude to take in the face of the very liberal entertainment media. "The hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more," she has said. |
