President Donald Trump threw his support behind Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the upcoming Israeli elections, issuing him a glowing endorsement.

In a Sunday Truth Social post, Trump stated that Netanyahu withheld under pressure and was a valuable partner to the United States, especially regarding the threat of Iran.

“To the Great People of Israel: Bibi Netanyahu has been a Great Warrior Prime Minister, and an even greater Partner for Peace in combatting the Islamic Republic of Iran, with its 51 year old chant, ‘Death to Israel, Death to America! We will destroy the Little Satan and the Big Satan,’” the U.S. commander-in-chief stated. “What Country can survive when things such as this are allowed to be said, because eventually, they always end up being true?”

“Bibi Netanyahu has been Strong, Brave, and Brilliant in the face of tremendous opposition, including that coming from even Israel, itself. Despite all of that, he has endured and, in fact, he has thrived!” he continued. “! I have watched Bibi under the most trying of times. Normal men or women in such situations would have wilted under the pressure – But Bibi did not wilt, he actually got stronger, and maintains that same Strength today. This is the kind of Partner that the United States of America is demanding of Israel, a Country for which it has done so much.

“Please let this Letter serve to represent my Complete and Total Endorsement of Bibi Netanyahu in his upcoming Race for Re-Election as Prime Minister of Israel. BIBI NETANYAHU WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN!” he added.

Less than two weeks away from Israel’s election, the U.S. president further outlined the purported consequences of electing an ill-fitted leader for the Mediterranean nation.

“It would have been only a question of time until Iran would have put that ominous phrase into effect, but they have been systematically destroyed, both Militarily and Financially, and unless they change their ways, rapidly, we will soon finish the job. If Israel has the wrong Leader, which would be anyone other than Bibi, America will have to do this work ourselves, and I am not inclined to do so,” he said.

Following Trump’s endorsement, Netanyahu expressed his gratitude for the backing, also outlining the shared goal between the U.S. and Israel of ensuring the Islamic Republic never obtains a nuclear weapon.

“There’s never been a greater friend of Israel in the White House. That’s an understatement, not by the longest shot,” Netanyahu said.

“But I think America has been fortunate to have a leader of conviction, of clarity, of courage, who faces down this threat to America and to Israel,” he continued. “You’re focused—laser-focused on the task of removing this threat from this current generation of Americans, from all future generations.”

Israel’s elections are set for October 27th, where Israelis cast their votes for a party rather than a specific candidate, with the leader of the party that won the most votes most likely to become the next prime minister — though the process is not straightforward, the Times of Israel explained.

Trump’s endorsement of Netanyahu is not unique for the American president, as he has thrown his support behind several foreign leaders, including Abelardo de la Espriella, who recently was elected president of Colombia, and Argentinian President Javier Milei.
